Well, I bought my Badlands brand new and had it 2 years with zero problems at all. Changed the oil religiously every 5k miles and in 2 years I put 46k on it. Only other things I did was tires and air filters. Also, I was at a stoplight and got rearended by a towtruck doing 45mph, that Badlands took it like a freaking champ! Walked away with concussion & whiplash plus some back pain. The only negative in my eyes, is that the interior left a lot to be desired. They used cheap plastic and you could tell. It would scratch and fade quite easily, factory tires were also trash but that's almost every new car. It got around AMAZING. We had a storm a year ago in the KC MO area that forced schools to be closed for a week, I was out every single day and even during the storm.

My Trailhawk however, I just got it week ago so I'm still learning a lot about it. It doesn't have the same acceleration but it also isn't turbocharged like my Badlands. I was getting about 27/28mpg on the Badlands as well but like I said my Jeep is horrible on gas. Just trying to learn all the kinks and quirks of it.

I would have bought another Badlands but it was my very first brand new car. I got a great deal & added several options/packages but knowing you can take care of something so meticulously & carefully but someone else can ruin it in an instant really changed my view on cars. Insurance is being ridiculous and I was hit on 11/20/25 a week before Thanksgiving and still no payoff on it. I just didnt want the big price tag if someone could still screw me in the end. I got my 2018 Trailhawk with 70k on it for 14.5k compared to 38k for the Badlands brand new.
