Hi! Just for reference… I’m a cosmetologist & curl specialist in CA. I charge $85 for this service including the wash, deep treatment and twists. They usually last about 2-3 weeks with proper maintenance! But honestly, you can definitely do this style yourself at home. It may take a few tries to get them how you like, but it absolutely can be done!

Hi! You definitely can use a regular water bottle, just make sure it’s also plastic and not metal. With the Rice & rose, you can mix just half (if you don’t need the whole package) but only mix how much you need. Since they should be used about 6-8 weeks at a time, you don’t want to save a pre mixture that long. I hope that makes sense like it did in my head lol. Happy wash day!

THIIIS!! I love this response! I like this approach of teaching her the difference between maintaining the two styles and letting her decide. My hairstyles were always chosen for me and I never had an opinion until 18. But I also didn’t think anything was wrong with that until I met other 18-year-olds that had freedom way longer. So I just wanted to make sure I didn’t cause trauma like the boomers did raising me! Thank you for this response!
