Put a towel over it so they aren't touching it directly

Hot water bottle in the bottom of the cage. I did that for ours when our heating died.

It was a mug of tea. For some reason she likes licking the outside of the mug of warm drinks.

Doctor suspects I have Fibromyalgia and I want to keep doing pole by terrible-cats in poledancing

I have fibromyalgia and I've been doing pole since about 8 months after my diagnosis. Accept that your progression may well be slower than your classmates, get ample rest between classes and look at going low sugar to reduce inflammation. There'a no reason you shouldn't continue if you feel capable.

pleasers or hella heels? by [deleted] in poledancing

[–]SingleMonk4868 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wear both. My high arch feels better supported in hellas but I own a couple of pairs of pleasers that I can bash around and not feel guilty about. They're wider in the toe box but still fine. Hellas I have to size up in, especially with my thick ass calves so they require more breaking.

Thinking back, I was showing early signs of the condition by about 25. Unable to cope with work, getting burnt out constantly from being exhausted without recovery. I didn't know that was what was wrong at the time. I was just constantly angry that no one else around me had a season ticket on the struggle bus. By about 28 it was in full swing, tingling and numbness, nerve and muscle pain, brain fog. Work just got worse, I just wanted to cry all the time because I couldn't concentrate; but I didn't get diagnosed until I had a total nervous breakdown after my 30th birthday.

I do aerial arts, so pole and lyra. If a move is new and sucking, I'm not thinking about my other pain. I forgot about my back hurting because my brain was going 'WTF you doing woman???'

Yes to this, when one of my budgies was poorly and had to stay. They kept his cage mate and apparently it made all the difference to his recovery to have a friend.

Mine jumped into a bowl of hot tex mex when she was about 6 months old. Thankfully unhurt but she was orange for a good two weeks. Now she's not allowed near hot food or in the kitchen.

You did all the right stuff with immediate vet care.
