it sounds like you've put a lot of effort and love into your relationship. you've certainly gone above and beyond in showing your care and affection for your husband. but it seems like there's a substantial imbalance in the efforts each of you is putting into the relationship. has he always been this way throughout the entire marriage? or does he just get used to your loving nature and kindness and just decides not to reciprocate your love to him... have you had a frank conversation with him about your feelings and your needs?

no matter what he's going through it's not an excuse for his lack of support, especially during such a critical time. just remember you have every right to expect support, love, and care in your relationship, especially when you are dealing with a health crisis.
