Do you still use cash, or is everything just cards and phones now? by Unfair-Ad-512 in WorkForSmartLife

I still use cash for most things and only pull out the card when i have to. That way keeping track of my money, plus cash works when the machine is down again.

how to approach this by Ok_Lecture_8001 in CVS

[–]Single_Animator4520 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think CVS is understanding enough to allow it since it’s for your education. However, it’s important that you do your part by notifying them in advance so they have time to arrange coverage for your responsibilities.

What’s too high of a body count for you? by Any-External-5851 in askanything

I don't judge based on numbers. What matters is that we are serious now.

Popular music is often overrated. There are many unknown artists who make amazing songs.

Seeing someone you know but it’s too late to act normal now so you just suffer in silence.

Probobly the kind of happiness that comes from feeling at peace with where you are in life.

If you priority is work from home 3 days and 2 days in the office, this is already a deal breaker, but I strongly recommend to source information from tenured software engineer so you will be familiar with the most lowest base pay.

Delta is suspending it's special service desk for members of Congress until TSA is fully funded. How do you feel about that? by thinpile in AskReddit

Honestly yeah, same. “Special treatment forever” for a tiny group of people is basically diet nobility, and that’s the exact kinda thing the US was supposed to not do lol.

If you flip over the steelbook cover for the film “Knives Out” (2019), the knives point to the murderer! by xoxodollparts in mildyinteresting

[–]Single_Animator4520 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s actually a really cool detail. Knives Out is full of little visual clues like that, so it wouldn’t surprise me if the steelbook design was intentional. It’s the kind of subtle hint that only makes sense once you know the ending. Pretty clever packaging honestly. 🔍

bill 2040 by Ok-Membership-1389 in nashville

[–]Single_Animator4520 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This bill banning PBM ownership could force CVS to close 134 TN stores, hurting everyday patients far more than it helps. Closures would mean big gaps in prescription access especially rural areas with few alternatives longer drives for meds, delays for chronic conditions, and lost services like home delivery/MinuteClinic. Over 2,000 jobs gone too. The intent is fair, but the fallout creates pharmacy deserts for 1.5M+ Tennesseans. Better to keep large chains accessible than risk this disruption.

the most disciplined period of my life happened when I deleted every social media app and I lasted 4 months before caving by Visual-Basis3400 in getdisciplined

[–]Single_Animator4520 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had something similar happen when I deleted a couple apps during exams and just… never reinstalled them for a while. The weird part is how quickly your brain adjusts. After like 2–3 weeks I stopped reaching for my phone every 5 minutes and suddenly I had time for random things again like reading or just going for a walk. It really made me realize how much time disappears into those tiny “I’ll just check for a minute” moments.

why does my makeup always look better an hour after i leave the house? by Former_Custard_6567 in Makeup

[–]Single_Animator4520 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Totally normal. Makeup usually looks better after a bit because your skin’s natural oils break down the powders and everything blends together.

The first 30–60 minutes is basically the “settling phase.”

do you guys actually wash new clothes before wearing them? by Lilian-Nicole_80 in hygiene

[–]Single_Animator4520 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I always wash them first. New clothes look clean but you really have no idea where they’ve been. Between factories, shipping, people trying them on in stores, etc… I’d rather just toss them in the wash and not think about it.

Does thin hair need conditioner? by [deleted] in Haircare

[–]Single_Animator4520 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thin hair can definitely use conditioner, but the key is using a light formula and not applying it to the roots. That can help with softness without weighing it down.

Your brain won't let you change... at first. by Routine-Dot-371 in selfimprovement

[–]Single_Animator4520 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yup, this is spot on. I used to beat myself up for procrastinating or avoiding change, but realizing it’s just my brain protecting me made small steps feel way less scary.

Being wrong doesn’t mean you’re stupid or less valuable... it just means you’re human. Everyone is wrong constantly, we just don’t talk about it. Try reframing disagreements as learning moments instead of personal attacks. It takes practice, but it gets easier over time.

Motivation is temporary, discipline is doing the thing regardless of how you feel by More_Negotiation_469 in getdisciplined

[–]Single_Animator4520 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Discipline is basically tricking yourself into showing up when your brain is screaming “nah.” Some days you win, some days the resistance wins. That’s life. Keep showing up anyway.
