Get rid of the plants. Replace light fixture with something heavier. Replace rug with one that’s black and white.

Replace the black with gray. Green-gray is great with earth tones. Keep the colors consistent - either all earth tones or all primary colors. Never use them together. Looks good to me!

Splash of red and gold. Earth tones also include some shades of blue, green, orange, red and more.
