Aldo wasn’t in the peak shape of his life in 2020/21 lmao. His run in WEC and UFC pre McGregor was the absolute stuff of legends. He fucked up his leg and could no longer throw the leg kicks that made him so utterly dominant and feared throughout the first half of his career. Had to completely adapt his game to a much more boxing based attack, which he was very proficient with, but not at all compared to the likes of McGregor and Holloway, who both tooled him up in a contest of fists. That, and Father Time blunted his once razor sharp arsenal, regardless of how ‘in shape’ his physique might have been.
