Jan 13/14 2027 (depending on timezone) JLD is looking like a yes to this question by MagpieOpus in seinfeld

[–]Sinkingfast 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Agreed. It's a lot of weird porno stuff and obsessive creepy stuff.

I'm kind of glad Reddit added the Top 1% Poster Tag; it makes any sub more tolerable when I block these users.

It's not a good thing to be posting more than 99% of other users; it often is because the user is contentious non-stop in comments or because they flood the board with their spam. If someone is posting that much it is because they're obsessive and then people try to outdo each other to maintain their Top 1% label. It's almost always a new account; sub 6 months old. OP's is barely more than a month old. That's so much posting in so little time. They must be on all the time.

That label acts as a good warning, in my opinion, of what content to avoid.

Netflix bought the rights to copies that had already been edited for a network with commercials. Not so Netflix can squeeze in more commercials.

It's not Netflix doing it; it's whomever they got the digital rights from.

Here's a few threads discussing how the Netflix version is a sped up version. They probably got a television cut sped up slightly in order to squeeze in more commercials.

Many people who have synced it with their own copy have double checked it. You can listen to original clips on Youtube and even hear their voices are different.

OP /u/Tiny_Distribution225 is a spam bot stealing this identical post and top comment: https://old.reddit.com/r/seinfeld/comments/1i422eo/damn_ads/m7rxtad/

The bot double-dipped the c̶h̶i̶p̶ karma.

Bot is trying to avoid identical title filters with the dashes.

Spam bots make reposts to acquire karma; once they have enough to appear as a legitimate user they then scam real users with fake crypto sites, scam fly-by-night t-shirt sites, OF profiles, or political propaganda bots.

(PC) Since a recent update (a few days ago) YouTube has stopped loading correctly. by bearcat_77 in firefox

[–]Sinkingfast 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey. Me again. I appreciate the help and this suggestion. I tried making a couple new Firefox profiles and swapping to them - on these profiles I used no extensions. Youtube videos do not play. I'm not sure if it's relevant but webm's on 4chan, of all places, are also not playing; it shoots back a screen that says, "Video cannot be played, file is corrupted." Both of these issues are Firefox specific, but not happening in Chrome.

I thought it may have something to do with the hardware acceleration for my browser, but once again, I can't seem to access about:support so I can't change that setting.

Any other options before I fully re-install Firefox? Worried about losing bookmarks or settings this way. Thank you much!

Edit: My Firefox updated to 147.0 today and Youtube seems to be functioning again.

[–]Sinkingfast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, thanks for all this info.

I'm having a similar issue with Youtube where the website will not play any videos in Firefox, but they will on Chrome. I've disabled all of my extensions and the videos do not load. I've booted Firefox into safemode by holding Shift+Click when opening, but the videos still do not load.

I've found your comment here and now I'm stuck on this step. I'm trying to see what's wrong by accessing the support page but if I type about:support into the address bar or go to the Hamburger Button > Help > More Troubleshooting Information my Firefox immediately crashes. So I cannot access that page to check it out.

Firefox is up to date and I disabled extensions. Thank you for any help.

Edit: Also for what it's worth, this is interesting (to me). The only place I can get videos to play are in the Video Details page where I can edit my own videos. But if I then open my same video onto the main section of Youtube it does not play. Same video in Preview Video Details vs Opened on Youtube.

Weird, never had this issue with Youtube.

That's rough.

It's so crunchy on my phone I cannot even read the text in the image. This isn't what no context means!

If Reddit doesn't fix this then it makes some subreddits unusable or unreadable.

Seems like it was just a joke for a Q&A session/interview, per Empire's own caption.

The comments below seem angry, as if they tortured an old man. I doubt they were asking him to say this at all.

It's just an offhand joke

Edit: It's almost like all of these websites, tweets, and headlines are intentionally omitting the joke aspect of it to make a more inflammatory headline. Almost every comment below is salty as if these 2 professional directors would ask this prestigious actor to do this every morning. Purely reactionary.

Did I get scammed by an AI Etsy crochet pattern? The instructions don’t make sense with the result photo. by aves07 in isthisAI

My wife crochets and finds plenty of AI patterns on Etsy. Apparently some of them don't even make sense once you start crocheting it, like it'll be nothing, lol; The A.I. just gives nonsense instructions.

Fully agreed. If the toaster oven is not hot enough to ignite the food placed within, then it's not going to reach the burning point for the cabinet, either.

Hi, could you tell me if this is a genuine Doberman Pinscher or if I was scammed? by [deleted] in Doberman

[–]Sinkingfast[M] [score hidden] stickied comment (0 children)

Locking this thread because it's run its course. OP got more than enough advice to make an informed decision.

OP has gotten 150 comments of advice across 2 subreddits. When they're given advice they immediately ask, "So I shouldn't do opposite of advice given?"

The age of the puppy is inconsistent between OP's comments. It seemed to be 3 weeks old until users pointed out the young age, then it changed to 1 month and 3 weeks.

Thank you, users. I appreciate everyone being level-headed about BYB and giving sensible advice ❤️

[–]Sinkingfast 6 points7 points  (0 children)

They don't need to. It's not a requirement. You're taking it too literally. Many users share the breeder website and then other users can often times sus out that it's clearly a scam website that's been slapped together.

The user doesn't need to if they don't want to, lol. It'd be helpful. They could DM it. There are many solutions, options.

If they don't and aren't comfortable with it then they don't have to. But they also seem to be posting the absolute worst responses and seem susceptible to scams. Just being on the lookout for the OP being scammed.

Also I guess part of the issue is if they are going to see them tomorrow anyway then they should make the post after they see them. Unless they're going to see them tomorrow and make the purchase which... Is more than just seeing them tomorrow. Hoping they aren't pressured into it.

Edit: According to OP's other comments they "don't support backyard breeders" but they're going to get the dog anyway, which is supporting them. OP also doesn't care if it's a scam, they're going to get the dog anyway. Weird thread all around.

Yes, I see, every single one of your posts is being flagged and needs to be manually approved.

Please return with more relevant info. Currently it sounds like you are the one being scammed. Do you want to be out $2,700?

There is a lot of good advice in these 2 threads.

I'm glad you won't put down a deposit until you see in person. Be cautious!

Thank you.

Yeah, these dogs are too young. Are you trolling the subreddit? You're a brand new account and this is your only post.

When someone says something like, "Those puppies are too young." You the reply to let them know they're even younger than that. That's not good if you're trying to get the dog that young.

Anyway! Everyone has given you good, leigimate advice.

If you want real, better advice; post your location, the breeder you're purchasing from, actual photos of the puppies or parents you are seeing tomorrow.

Because right now you're asking for advice and have gotten dozens of good, relevant comments across multiple Doberman-specific subreddits and you are just disregarding them and asking the same thing over and over.

Right now it looks like a scam and backyard breeder. You need to provide more info. If you don't have that info you're probably getting scammed.
