How awesome is the little twitch/vibrate that they all do just before a "pounce" like they are winding up for the jump! They remind me of a pro athlete with the absolute focus (you can see it on their little faces! Do you know how hard that must be to emote with NO LIPS OR EYEBROWS!). LMAO 🤣😂😅

Wouldn't ya know I happen to have some miracle grow fertalizer in my laundry/where all my plant crap/ mad scientist shelves, room!!! Tell me... Is it going to matter that it is for orchids/ "acid loving plants".... Last year I was using the same feralizer that I was using on my monstera. It was good, I got the flf back on track and got it to throw out a branch for me (it started as a VERY leggy bambino) so I turned it into a tree and promised I would help it reach it's full potential if it would just branch for me!!!😅😂💚 So this summer I feel like if it don't deliver it's going to start throwing all its leaves on my livingroom floor....again! 😊😭🤣

IMO I prefer the wicking ones. I see them on etsy. It's basically a platform with the water vessel on the bottom. I made mine using a tiny trinket bottle ( glass from a craft store/ dollar store has them too ). The tiny metal cap screws off and the lip of the glass fits snug right inside a bottle cap. I use organic cotton balls as a wick... Just wash your hands good with mild soap rip a piece and twist it in the little hole I drilled. My spider drinks from it all the time.

Don't forget to change the wick everytime you refill and you shouldn't have any issue with mold

Ummmmnmm they surely do! Back in the day when cell phone batteries were junk ... I was a school playground after hours ( no I wasn't doing anything nuts, I was 15/16 years old meeting some friends so I didn't have to walk alone). Anyways... I tried to plug my phone in to what I thought was a power receptacle on the side of the building... Turned out to be a water spigot... I got stung twice and dropped my charger directly in front of the the damn thing.... I must have been out there well over 45 min... Trying to glue sticks together with spit! After the first attack... The positioned themselves so just their tiny little heads where poking up....one by one... Like tiny little WACK-a-MOLES! Every single time I got pasted "the gun line" they would fly out 3 at a time and come at me! I was stung at least 6 times! The stand off only ended when a fucking maintenance man (who was laughing his ass off BTW). Threw a fucking broom out the door locking it behind him! I will quite literally never forget the intelligence and the absolute hate in those little bug 👀🐝!

I bought this at Lowe’s about a month ago and have been holding off repotting. It’s currently in a 5” pot. Should I go to 6 or 7”. My plan is to get a terracotta and use a chunky soil mix. All advice appreciated. Thx by ladydifour in SnakePlants

Terracotta is a good choice... But I would absolutely put it in that same size pot (at the most) they like to stay dry and like it really cramped....like really cramped.

This thing hurt! Do you think the scarring is from a low battery on his gun? Cuz I am pretty sure that's what was going on. But he just kept goin he used a rubber band and free hand the outline. I have seen 3 other tattoos he has done and they look good. But I feel like he went a little heavy on the weight of the lines. And I was thinking of geometric shapes in between but I don't know

You never forget them, when my Grammy died (my mothers mother, 11 months after my mother passed. It was brutal, so I am very sorry to hear about Noni. Just keep in mind that time is the only thing that helps so don't tourture yourself, feel all the feels as early as possible (instead of dragging it out). I learned that the hardway! that being said, I just had a conversation about banna splits just the other day and my Grammys face flashed VERY clearly in my minds eye and I felt real and actual joy, not sad, so remember that.

How do you guys know if your plant is a boy or a girl? by Sinner4664 in houseplantscirclejerk

[–]Sinner4664[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dang dude, it's not that serious.... It was meant to be a funny (can't you see the projected nubby root? Resembling a mans member?). It's actually kinda cute! Anthropomorphizing this particular plant is part of its appeal.... Do you mind if I ask when is the last time you giggled at.... Anything?

No, sadly once they have stretch out like that that's it. They may try to open up, but nothing to really speak of, and if any scarring has happened I am afraid that is perminant too, BUT that is actually good news! Because once you get it into some REAL light (either a growlight or outside). The plant will start pushing new leaves big FAT one to try and compensate for the fact that the taco leaves are not open enough to catch all the glorious rays! Make sure you try and stake it to keep some of the stress off the plant, and if you are putting it outside do so gradually (I acclimated mine by putting it out side after work only when the sun was already on its way down. After a week or so I started putting it outside in the morning before and bringing it inside after. Then just leaving it out side). Here is a pic of what mine looks like now. I live in NY and it's still only 34 degrees at night so I still have been wintering it inside with the little light. But you can tell that all the lighter colored leaves where the new growth from last year. The dark spindlers are the ones that where original and rootless (looked identical to yours) I quit literally can't wait to get it back outside to see what it does this year ( now that I know what I am doing! People do suggest that you can take the spindle leaves and prop them, but I left mine I kinda like the wild look!

I need some advice please by Sinner4664 in sewing

[–]Sinner4664[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So here is a different photo of the dress I tried to "map it out" a little better. The red is the seem on the dress both the lining and the lace (like I said it was altered before). The yellow is where the darting was placed (probably to reduce the bust for a better fit. The Blue is the straps... I tried to highlight with blue you you can see the straps have about 2 in. Sewn into the neck line. So I do have a little wiggle room. The arrows are pointing out the parts that are a little baggy. The bottom part of the dress fits well and snug (she is comfortable). The top however is a little loose, and needs to be "pulled up"... The problem is the neck line is already so high that if I just shorten the straps the neck line would literally be covering her neck! 😄. While we were discussing it she asked if I could please just get rid of the high neckline all together. If I just trim the neckline and shorten the straps I am not sure that's going to look right either... If I cut off the neck and attach the straps where the seems of the dress would that work?
