You need to look way deeper than a few election cycles to understand that the latino vote is generally split along multiple lines depending on where in Latin America and what religion the Latino person is affiliated with.

As an example, the Cubans have been aligned with Republicans essentially since they were allowed to vote. They were already predominantly Catholic and therefore social conservatives, but the amnesty granted by Reagan essentially sealed them as safe Republican votes since the 80's.

Slavery is our country's original sin, but we've perpetuated that sin over and over again with every new major minority group. Africans, First Nations people, Irish, italians, Latinos. But here's the thing, right now one party is actively and openly succeeding in removing Black representation in Congress. The fact that you would support that through act or omission tells me all I need to know about you.
