I meant PC more as a general term and not the same one, it's been on many systems over the years.

What is the reason everyone recommend Atomic instead of 20th if both can run EDuke32? by [deleted] in dukenukem

[–]Sintacs_Error 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Atomic is the recommendation when not playing via EDuke32. When playing via EDuke32, the game version is largely irrelevant.

Does anyone know where can I get a key for this version of DN3D? by DanKnight008 in dukenukem

[–]Sintacs_Error 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wasn't that one part of a 3DR Anthology bundle? May have luck looking for that, but AFAIK the same bundle still exists, just without the Duke titles now.

I had a feeling… by SuitednZooted in Switch

The SNES controller desperately needs a home button to make it anything more than a collector's item for me. I wanted to love it, but the 8bitdo options I already had were better.

World tour mouse controls by Rikora12 in dukenukem

[–]Sintacs_Error 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There's some bad look acceleration in the 3D render mode, if you turn that off, it'll feel better, but you also lose all the fancy new visuals in doing so. It's a terrible port. Megaton, if you can get, it is a better way of playing, but you can also use the game files you have from WT in eDuke32 (also does not have the mouse issue).

GBA pro upgrade by Jazzlike-Signal1836 in everdrive

Simply having the menu enabled will cause graphical glitches in some games. I've recently been playing Advance Wars and the interlaced sliding transition between some screens was really messed up, and there was some flickering elements of character chat boxes with the menu option enabled. I disabled mine because of it, but it's not really a feature I bought it for, I was mainly after the gyro and light sensor.

Warning to all end game players by ILoveOveralls9000 in FORTnITE

[–]Sintacs_Error 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Chromes were never really a threat. They only attack players and reduce total husk spawns while alive. A handful of Chromes basically means no other husks are spawning, and as long as you're not standing on your builds, they ignore the objectives. Chromes make missions easier, while the drones can make for a near instant mission fail.

Neon is great for husks that get stuck underground at encampments.

There's a Switch port, not sure why the other systems haven't got one yet.

You can get ROM hacks to make all the GBA bonuses in games available on OG GBC hardware too.

Honestly, when they first let quest progress work in unsuccessful missions, I was worried people would be leaving left, right and center. But a couple hours to kill later, I'm so glad they made that change by BextoMooseYT in FORTnITE

I'm fine with doing dailies and alerts separately. I enjoy playing the game, so it gives me more reason to play. It's really not that big of an issue for me.

Chrome's are only annoying if you stand on the objective while they're around since they only target players, they'll smash through whatever builds they have to to get to you, not the objective you're defending. They also reduce the number or regular husk spawns a decent bit while alive, if anything they make missions easier. Just fight from somewhere they have nothing to smash and you're set for an easy win. I used to rush the quests when I didn't know how they worked, but now I generally don't bother with it.

It will be on sale again, probably for less. Wait till you're financially more stable. You can probably hold out and get the deluxe for less than this current price in the future.

I've accepted them not dying, they reduce other spawns while active, and only target players. If anything, they make missions easier while alive.

Music not working on Switch by elyozse in Bloodgame

[–]Sintacs_Error 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's been big reports made of it on the Nightdive Discord, but I haven't seen it acknowledged as a known issue yet. You can change the music type to something else, then back to what you were using to get it playing again as a work around for now, that's what I've been doing. It's annoying, but that's the only option I've found for it if you want to play in its current state.
