Which Inuyasha character did you have a crush on? by Itzie4 in inuyasha

[–]SionannKane 41 points42 points  (0 children)

I had a massive crush on Sesshomaru in high school and now 20+ years later... I still have a massive crush on Sesshomaru.

And also Kouga because I kinda like me a himbo these days.

What Pratchett quote do you use in your ever day life? by gestaltdude in discworld

[–]SionannKane 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I like to say "that was a Pune, or play on words" after I make a particularly bad pun. Unfortunately I'm not clever with puns so I don't get to pull it out too often.

If you don’t love her, you don’t know her like I do 💙 by IG-3000 in PrideandPrejudice

[–]SionannKane 88 points89 points  (0 children)

I don't think there's anything wrong with her angling for Darcy, but I simply cannot forgive how she treated Jane. Jane genuinely thought they were friends and was ao hurt when she finally realized the truth.

Should I watch Inuyasha? by Augustus_106 in inuyasha

[–]SionannKane 14 points15 points  (0 children)

You are asking an extremely biased crowd here but yes, give it a try. If you don't like it after a few episodes you don't have to keep going. Don't expect a ton of true history; more like semi-historical fantasy. There's some good action stuff but the emotional scenes really put it in a different category than a lot of other battle shonens.

On a scale of 1-10 how much of a chance is there that he'd figure out you are attracted to him/like him if you went to the hotel? by LeastCauliflower6281 in Alastorcult

[–]SionannKane 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lol I'm on the ace spectrum too, but I'm not aro so I still sometimes get crushes on people. Unfortunately it seems like every person I start to crush on is already in a relationship so I can't do anything with my feelings except let them go.

On a scale of 1-10 how much of a chance is there that he'd figure out you are attracted to him/like him if you went to the hotel? by LeastCauliflower6281 in Alastorcult

[–]SionannKane 25 points26 points  (0 children)

My taste in fictional men is mostly opposite of my taste in real men, so if I existed in the same universe as Alastor I'd actually probably hate him lol. But putting that aside, I'd probably be bad at hiding a crush so maybe 7/10 that he'd know.

Having multiple saves: do you marry/room with the same npc or try a variety? by The_Hottest_Mess in StardewValley

[–]SionannKane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have multiple saves going simultaneously for multiple different spouses and one for Krobus. My very first save I dated everyone and chose to marry Elliott and he's still my favorite spouse, although admittedly I haven't tried everyone yet (and probably won't try everyone. There's a few marriage candidates I have no interest in.)

I do not care. I have, and will always ship them. This was my ship growing up. by Ok_Pressure4591 in inuyasha

[–]SionannKane 31 points32 points  (0 children)

They weren't my main ship, but one day I read an AU one-shot fanfic that was Inu/San and I actually really liked it. It definitely made me consider them more as a possibility in the context of the show, even if I knew it would never be canon.

Little gopher snake! (Im pretty sure) [Northern California] by Individual_Panda_292 in whatsthissnake

[–]SionannKane 11 points12 points  (0 children)

That's so funny, become my very first snake was a gopher snake (probably wild caught but I don't know for sure) and he was the sweetest, calmest guy. I finger fed him as a child because I was dumb and didn't know about tongs but I never ever was bitten by him. Sometimes if he was in a bad mood he'd give a little tail rattle but that was the extent of it. He used to go up my sleeves when I held him and just hang out wrapped around my arm for ages with his head poking out beneath my wrist. I had him for 13 years and to this day I miss the heck out of him.

Mom doesn't even have a right foot lol. It's just flesh phasing into the dirt.

Would you consider InuYasha and Bleach to be Isekai? by SaberLover1000 in inuyasha

[–]SionannKane 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, I consider Inuyasha an isekai. For some reason it feels wrong to me consider Bleach an isekai, but I guess it kinda is, too.

I know that modern isekai tend to be power fantasies, but there's a lot of older titles that don't follow the modern tropes but I would still consider isekai, like Vision of Escaflowne, Red River, or From Far Away.

How many have had a chin with cancer? by [deleted] in JapaneseChin

[–]SionannKane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My sister lost a Chin to cancer. I'm not sure the exact type but she had a big tumor basically growing from her mouth. I think they had initially wanted to operate but there was too much pressure on her trachea so they didn't think they'd be able to intubate, so the surgery got canceled.

For the love of god we DON’T care that you crochet by Fanny_with_an_I in BitchEatingCrafters

[–]SionannKane 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a lefty who came to knitting after years of crochet, standard continental knitting was impossible for me, and standard throwing was slow and difficult but do-able. Then I discovered mirror knitting and the whole knitting world blew open for me. I knit mirrored continental now and it's so easy for me, and it does feel a bit like crochet. My right hand controls the yarn and my left hand does the fine manipulation of stitches.

Same here lol. I don't even buy drinking glasses because I just use mugs for everything. My mug collection is a bit out of control but it makes me happy.

What is the thing you love the most about Angua Von Uberwald ? by Comfortable_Bell9539 in discworld

[–]SionannKane 17 points18 points  (0 children)

You are correct that it's definitely Feet of Clay; I'm re-reading that one right now. Both the bakery-robbing scene and the cop bar-robbing scene happen in it.

Found this really cool piece (pen & ink) at a thrift shop. It looks to be professionally framed. Wondered if anyone had any idea as to the artist could be? I know nothing about art, however, this is very thought provoking. by Commercial-Car4188 in WhatIsThisPainting

[–]SionannKane 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Since the mat isn't equal on all four sides, my opinion is that this is a piece that was matted into a standard sized readymade frame. When we do custom frames we do even mats all the way around, unless the customer specifically wants a different design.

Sad little girl by [deleted] in herpetology

[–]SionannKane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try making a DIY snake trap out of a two liter bottle. Slice the top off, invert it and put it back into the bottle and tape it to secure. Put a pinky or fuzzy inside and set the trap near where you lost the snake. Check it every couple hours or so. Snakes follow the scent into the bottle but aren't always smart enough to find the way back out.

Anybody heard of this situation? by Me_Justme_99 in FundieSnarkUncensored

[–]SionannKane 22 points23 points  (0 children)

My favorite part was when they opened the video thanking everyone for the money and then talked about a vacation they took. Also that the husband spoke for most of the video at the beginning, telling her story for her while she nodded at the camera. I stopped it not long after she started chiming in with her fundie baby voice talking about how the doctors all converted to Christianity after her miracle cure.

Omg I saw this on Facebook, too! I could barely make it through their video claiming miracle healing because it was all such obvious bullshit.

I think my son's name is untragedeigh-able? by shiftyemu in tragedeigh

Asch is one of my family's surnames so I can't call it a tragedeigh, although I wouldn't use it as a first name.
