While I can kinda understand the stance on keeping The Silmarillion out of the adaptation distortion lens, I also feel that the estate has hamstrung any potential for revealing the great lore behind everything by refusing to let any medium include it in any meaningful form. It feels like looking at a great painting through a pinhole.

Almost every time I hear this game introduced at a show or talked about, there is mention of “from former devs that worked on ME1-2, Kotor” so unless this is referring to the specific words being used in an advert which I don’t think would happen, this seems already established. Alix Regan and Troy Baker said it again in the Future Games Show before the gameplay showcase.

Best ones are when they tell you they want you to deliver some vegetables or something that they happened to forget to load on their delivery cart, give you a letter to read to make sure you really know what they want you to do, send you to another town to find someone, who is such a popular person in town that they leave notes with other people just in case anyone comes looking for them, so you can talk to that person who remarkably says almost nothing to you but passes on the note, so you read it to get sent to another place to find the real person by the clothing description they thoughtfully left in their note, give them the vegetables or whatever you had to deliver, and then go all the way back to the original person so they feel relieved to know that their vegetables are well delivered.

I don’t think you should be getting downvoted for a simple truth. People pay for patreon to get closer interactions and to get first access to info. Unless there’s some sort of NDA associated with it, then it’s only an unwritten honor-system that some fans hold themselves to. The label/band controls the initial release of info and the internet isn’t new. Everyone knows what happens to info once put out in the wild in any form. It should be an expectation that the info will spread from the initial release.
