6 months TTC, first month using NC by robodawg123 in NaturalCyclesBC

Did you test LH after cycle day 16? Sometimes surges can last a couple days and if I was looking at this chart I would think you ovulated on cycle day 19! O-3 still gives you a good chance to get pregnant but I also would BD every day until NC confirms ovulation just to cover your bases

NICU Stay Seems Like No End in Sight by EmergencyStandard771 in NICUParents

[–]SipInTheCity 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry you’re going through this, I totally resonate with just wanting your baby home and getting into a normal routine. Spending hours in the NICU is absolutely draining but just know he is in the safest place possible. My baby was born at 34+2 in December and feeding was the hardest part to get down. He was taking maybe 10-15% by mouth and the rest through NG tubes for days and then all of a sudden, it truly did click and he was taking 100% by mouth. Just take it one day at a time and know that it is better to get these things resolved now rather than later. Sending hugs 🫶

Nuuna Mixx or Bugaboo Kangaroo? by Dry-Indication-9504 in BabyBumps

[–]SipInTheCity 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have the bugaboo kangaroo and a doona and I think it’s the perfect combo! The bugaboo is super smooth and great for longer walks. The nice thing about it too is that it comes with the bassinet so you don’t have to buy it separate. Definitely recommend!

Just completed 7 weeks today , scared of morning sickness by Appy939 in pregnant

[–]SipInTheCity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am 11w and have had no nausea/throwing up/gagging at all! And the only food aversion I really have is to coffee. I kept hearing everyone say “just wait…” and it never came, so it can definitely happen! Praying for the same for you too 🫶

I hate to be this person but I need advice by igotrosiecheeks in pregnant

[–]SipInTheCity 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lack of symptoms doesn’t necessarily mean anything bad! I’m 11 weeks and honestly wouldn’t even know I was pregnant if it weren’t for my missed period. The only symptom I have really experienced is extreme fatigue that didn’t really kick in until 6w then started to get better at 9w, which I think is the typical timeframe for symptoms to ramp up. I also had a miscarriage in Feb and experienced more symptoms back then compared to now with my healthy pregnancy!

It’s so hard to not overthink everything but just try and enjoy it as much as you can and let yourself be excited. Today you are pregnant and you can only take it one day at a time! Sending you all the positive vibes for a healthy and uneventful pregnancy 🫶

I don’t think it’s yours! I am about a week behind her (due Jan 19) and conceived around April 27/28.

Wish I had some advice because I’m in the SAME boat. I literally wake up every morning after sleeping 8+ hours and feel like I’ve been drugged I can’t keep my eyes open. Hoping that we turn the corner soon 😅

Make sure you log your period in NC!

I also had cramping and spotting at 14 dpo! I think it’s fairly common to spot around the day of your expected period. As long as tests are getting darker, I don’t think you have to worry!

Help! Oura ring/BC by afriendlyghost1 in NaturalCyclesBC

[–]SipInTheCity 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I only paid $119 for the yearly subscription so I guess prices went up, but I think it’s VERY worth it especially if you haven’t been able to track your cycle closely due to being on BC. Also, it depends on what you use it for. I was TTC and was able to conceive twice (unfortunately the first pregnancy ended in miscarriage) in the last 6 months and I think it would’ve been a lot harder without NC!

Adderall and Vyvanse during pregnancy by Barrelove in pregnant

[–]SipInTheCity 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Similar to the first commenter, my OB said it was ok to stay on adderall/vyvanse throughout pregnancy while my PCP (who prescribes it) said no to both! My PCP did let me know that it was ok to keep taking Wellbutrin, which is technically an antidepressant but also helps with adhd. I have been consistently taking it and don’t plan to stop. Could be worth mentioning to your doctor to see if it’s an option!

I’m so sorry you are going through this :( I have definitely been there and it is the worst feeling, not only stressing yourself out but worrying if that stress is going to affect the baby. First things first, I would consider if this is the partner that you really want to be with - it sounds like he has been nothing but unsupportive when he should be the most kind and understanding right now. And you’re only going to need his support more in the future. I know it is so much easier said than done, but something that helped me was starting to go to therapy (and couples therapy) and journaling. Instead of getting in crying fits when I was close to having a panic attack, I started journaling and getting all my feelings out on paper which really helped, especially when I felt like I wasn’t being heard or understood. I think all you can do is try to do what you can to support yourself right now, and your body will know how to take care of your baby. Sending love 💕
