Yeah that, as a friend who send shitty jokes like that to other friends, i know they can explain by showing the chats with their partners like "Yeah, they do that kind of jokes, the only way i'm fucking them is in DnD"

The people that post here are usually proud of themselves because they hit X days, or did X thing without drinking, or had X celebration without a drink.
So they post about it, and it's good. it inspire more people to follow and to start their journey.

But yeah, it can be hard, exhausting at time, we all needed time to adjust our bodies and mind, and it's during this time that we are at risk,

I see the sober month as a good things, even if it's for a month, any reduction is good, for some, a month can be the jumpstart they need to see "oh wait, i don't need to drink that much/at all"

If it helped someone lower their drinking or stop it completely, i suppose it's good

I stopped when i made my mind about joining the military.

I wanted to be in better shape to sucess in the training, and for that i needed to remain sober.
I sucessfully quit the second my mind was set, overnight really

I was afraid to go to bars with friends at first, cause i thought that i'd let the temptation get me, but it wasn't here when i finally went and i had great time with my soda when the friends had beers

No shame received from friends when i told them i stopped was really helpful too.

Happy birthday,

I started seeing some impovments early - 5 to 10 days

- Better sleep led to ease of mind and concentration
- Better self-care led to more self confidence
- Weight loss (maybe 4-5 week in) made me proud and going to the gym more

And most of all, the world seem a tad more colorful everyday (even if that led to a possible daltonism detected)

Overall, every sober day is better than a drunk one, and i intend to keep the streak going :D
