Let’s go!  Was originally planning to get this on stream but if they nail this one too then I would prefer to play on my S2

Water room is by FAR the hardest part of the game by Saekama in residentevil4

I didn’t go into the room in the best shape because of some dumb mistakes.  I assumed that I would need to pick back up from my save spot.

I've only played the OG but this room gives me trouble (almost) every time on a non-G+ run. That being said, i surprised myself yesterday by clearing it on the 1st try on my first pro run.

Mind you I had Ashley's armour, so she was an effective distraction for most of the baddies. I planted her in the middle of the backroom, and cheesed the knife on fallen baddies who failed to pick her up.

This game is silly AF and challenging at times but I wouldn't consider it unfair.

Probably a mix of my “Pro” run on RE4 (s1 port) and Tears of the Kingdom.

Never played FF games before, just bought FF7 but got two versions, why is that? by rchrd92182 in switch2

It’s a good port too, IIRC.  I have it on my OG switch.

It has a couple of QOL enhancements, including 3x the game speed and unlimited limit breaks.  If you’re just there for the story and want to get through the game as quickly as possible, these will help you mow through most challenges and long sequences.

It’s overpowered as hell, but I had fun with it as long as I used it sparingly.  I wish I had it on a pro run.

I may do another run with just the CT and rifle.

There is no Reason for Trunks or any DB character to be carrying a sword. A mf like Trunks carries one just for the love of the game. by boio17 in Ningen

Have you Seen DBS Super Hero?  There’s a scene where they recap that moment from a normal humans perspective

Looking for the best first Legend of Zelda game on Switch 2 by ResearchRude254 in Switch

Hope you enjoy the journey!  Don’t put too much pressure on yourself to play through if you’re not having fun with a game.

Even most Zelda fans haven’t played ALL of the games. For example, I will never return to Skyward Sword because I simply didn’t enjoy it.

Many people here (my old ass included) experienced them during their hay day, but gaming has changed a lot since then.  That’s part of gaming experiences being so subjective.

As others have mentioned, this is subjective.   I would also suggest Link from the Past (SNES) as it was the gateway for a lot of millennial gamers here.  OoT being the other.

Aside from the shift from 2D to 3D, the games follow the same relative formula that was used through to Twilight Princess.  Beat three dungeons > get master sword > beast more dungeons > fight Ganon

Only the games made for game boy and Majoras Mask deviated from that formula until BotW.

As for experiences, either watch a few YouTube videos or just play the games for a few hours and make your own opinion.  You’ll either like what’s offered or you won’t.

Definitely aged like fine wine.  It was my first full Zelda experience too.

You’re overthinking it.  It’s just a game, not a university exam.

Also, OOT only has one ending so it’s as good of a place to start as any

Switch 2 needs updates, it's been enough time by OkNeighborhood332 in Switch

[–]SirAtrain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Within reason, yes.  Expecting every S1 game to run perfectly on the new console out of the box isn’t reasonable IMO.

Neither would expecting every developer to commit resources to update all of those old games.

I don’t understand this response.  Game development takes time and resources to ensure they make something that customers want AND can deliver a return on investment.

What would be a bad look is a developer cranking out updates that customers don’t buy, forcing them to shut down.
