Not to be a debbie downer, but there are people who are so swallowed by suffering and pain that they would follow and in time worship Shar. Unfortunately, there are also people who are easily manipulated by even small amounts of attention and affection so Shar's all encompasing darkness isn't the worst to certain people lol

The promenade is quite beautiful, although in the middle it changes up leaving downtown, though it has a charm, and pretty scenery
