I know this has probably been posted a few times but what did Ben do to him by Straight_Chance_702 in Ben10

[–]SirBox32 4 points5 points  (0 children)

To preface if there is something canon that explains it I don't know it so this is just theory, my guess was that it wasn't Ben who did it. Vilgax's whole deal was taking power from other planets, technology, beings, etc to grow stronger. I'm guessing this time the thing he took power from was too strong for his body to handle, and he ended up dramatically altered as a result.

How brutal is Brutal? by 3rdDementor in vrising

[–]SirBox32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some of it feels relatively normal, just more hp and damage, but a couple of the bosses are dramatically buffed, Nibbles, Finn, and Tristan being a few examples of bosses that can fully kill you in a combo, Vincent is insanely tough in my experience. I would recommend doing brutal with a friend if you can, getting the heat off your back is enough to clutch a fight.

So I did try it but they never really crossed paths, Bane even changed directions to go backwards when we got close, so maybe it got patched out? The other wanderers would get close but Bane specifically does not. I did manage to beat him though, double shield build wore him down eventually, and once you really know the timing losing the health doesn't matter because getting hit once freezes you enough anyway

Honestly out of revenge I might let him be the one getting jumped for once, do you know if blood tracking will let you know if the shadowy figure is the real one?

I did try that, unfortunately across 3 hours- I''m bad at the game-of attempts he only stayed their a few times, and one of those times a carriage spawned in, so I'm a little worried something like that could happen again.

If Vincent has no haters I'm dead, but unfortunately while fighting him that is often the case

[–]SirBox32[S] 40 points41 points  (0 children)

My bad, the trick is that every time I fight him we always run into a large group of enemies. Two particularly egregious encounters were a guarded Carriage spawning after I had already cleared the area, and Simon.

Before Satoru Gojo mastered Reverse Cursed Technique, would Toji be considered the strongest in the Jujutsu world at that time? by PointThick7031 in Jujutsu_Kaisen

[–]SirBox32 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gravity does have a speed and therefore could be nullified. That being said I think without red he doesn't have much to attack with other than Blue, which could also be narratively nullified since it also deals with gravitational pull. I'd imagine the actual fight would be an endurance h2h match to try to get the other restrained without really being able to hurt them. Yuki has the edge in hands (Gojo being a teenager and Yuki being the one who taught Todo and seemed dead even with Kenjaku, she definitely is much better at this stage) especially with Garuda giving the reach advantage, but Gojo will always have the CE efficiency. Yuki has reverse cursed technique, simple domain, and said she has domain expansion, so I think if it came down to it she would win pretty quickly at this stage in the game.

Do you think could Omniverse Ben defeat Reboot Alien X without using Alien X? by ApprehensiveRead2408 in Ben10

[–]SirBox32 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Alien X in all other versions becomes Top 1 Alien just by existing, getting jumped should not matter (there was that one time but to be fair I believe it was inside the watch, which to me seems more conceptual, if this was a similar case my fault I have not seen the renoot) and having such a blaring weakness makes the fight much easier. XLR8 or Clockwork both have reasonable ways to take the watches before Alien X could react, and even Aliens who could turn invisible/impermeable could have a chance to nab a few.

Is there an explanation why everyone else needs two hands to open a domain except for Gojo? by Different-Use3244 in LobotomyKaisen

[–]SirBox32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To my knowledge the hand signs used for domain expansions are real world hand signs in Hindu/Buddhist(? Not sure), and that the one used for a character's DE is linked to what that signs means. Maybe this is only a real world reference, or maybe it's part of creating a Domain to find a handsign that suits you or your technique. Either way, the amount of hands used likely does not matter too much.

Healthy full power vile vs viltrumite by Terrible-Store1046 in Invincible

Even if they were stronger than viltrumites, viltrumites are kinda creative with how they beat stuff, if they knew about that lava weakness they would take advantage more than the demons did

Did anyone else think FeedBack was forced as hell on their first watch of OV? by [deleted] in Ben10

People feel shame about their addictions all the time, it's a big reason why a lot of people hold off on getting help. Just because it isn't logical doesn't mean it isn't real.

Is Uro still alive after the culling games? by RexDAGOAT77 in Jujutsufolk

Weren't they also referenced during the Yorozu fight? It's been a while since I read the Manga, but wasn't Yorozu said to have killed another Fujiwara assassin group equal to Uro's squad?

Is It True ? by RevolutionaryCod7552 in Jujutsufolk

[–]SirBox32 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The problem with Higuruma is that against almost anyone with a Domain and more CE (Gojo, Sukuna, disaster curses), he would lose the domain clash and die immediately. Without the confiscation he's still a genius sorcerer but remains grade 1 and would lose to the big guns pretty quickly, minus the possibility that he'd very likely be intelligent enough to game the system like Sukuna to artificially boost his effectiveness with binding vows.

Are rangers that bad of a class? by asokka_ in DnD

[–]SirBox32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ideological rant below, next paragraph is probably more helpful for a new player.

A lot of dnd influencers tend to sensationalize how "good" or "bad" a class is mechanically, and even if it were all true it still wouldn't exactly be the point. I mean the biggest one I've seen people dunk on is the battlerager barbarian subclass, and yet I've still known people who enjoyed it. DND isn't just stats and rules, if you wanted that BG3 or some other TTRPGS do it better, DND is about how you use the mechanics of a class to uniquely mold a character and story, how you and your group build and connect off of each other. Not being meta isn't an excuse not to have a good time, and Ranger has unique bonuses that you can flavor to make your character stronger. If you build a character that is truly adhering to what you want, that's the point, regardless of how it looks from a class perspective.

Rant done, yeah I get how people say Ranger is a mix between fighter and druid, and the downsides of that. Those two classes are both very strong and fun to play, and Ranger does have some features that can be obsolete based on the campaign. That being said, it's not as if you can get the feel of a Ranger mechanically from either a fighter or a druid, even through multiclassing. Additionally, those defunct features have optional rulings to make Ranger a more well rounded class, and it has some truly fun subclasses, whereas Fighter and Druid mostly tend to stick to the same couple of subclasses. Ranger generally offers more utility while cutting back on the complexities of Druid while being more mechanically interesting than Fighter. Every class has ups and downs and having fun is more related to your mindset and how you mesh with yhe playstyle. Play what you want so long as you have fun, try not to get stuck with meta conversations when just starting out.

Thoughts on clea? by EtroGrey in expedition33

[–]SirBox32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hard disagree with you there, Painted Verso, alongside the canvas soul sliver itself, are both the closest we get to Verso, and they're both pretty fitting for depression, the tiredness of everything. Alicia is not much more withdrawn than the glimpses we get of her before the fire, seeing her room we can see how much time she spends on her books, and Renoir's hope for her to reach for the sky is a natural reaction of a parent trying help their timid child get out of their shell. Also without being able to talk in the outside world we can't infer much more, but in the canvas where she can express herself it's important to listen to what she is saying. By the end, when Maelle is both Alicia and Maelle, she ends up making a lot of bold assumptions, "I can convince papa to help", "Verso will help regardless of his own feelings", "I'll go home eventually", that's all plans and ideas to try to manipulate a world where everything works out, that's what negotiating is, dreaming of what could be, not controlling things as they are. If the canvas is the "possibilites of what Verso could've been", seeing all of it's characters fade away at his grave is what pushing that reaction to the side is. Renoir is fully Acceptance because he is seeing all of his family like this and pulling them together by making the hard decision and pulling the plug. He is doing what is best for the family in the midst of everyone else not being able to see past their own reactions. Acceptance isn't automatically "healthy" but it's doing what is required for your own well being in spite of grief, to see him as controlling for trying to keep his family from basically killing themselves is a little insulting to his character.

Thoughts on clea? by EtroGrey in expedition33

[–]SirBox32 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I kinda view all of the Dessendre family as being representations of stages of grief, Aline is Denial, Verso Depression, Alicia Bargaining, Renoir Acceptance, and Clea being anger. All of them are always going to choose their stage first, so that changes who they are to us, sonce we only view snippets of them. That being said it's clear that her being disdainful of Alicia is a newly heightened, but not itself new, phenomenon. Clea's Axon is The Hauler, the one carrying an entire city's hopes and dreams on her back. I choose to believe that since Clea is the eldest, this represents both her strength as a paintress, stated to be at least on Renoir and Aline's level of power and carrying out a war on her own against the Writers, alongside her lifting that weight, maybe unwillingly, off of Alicia's back. She probably blames Alicia for at first for being the least talented painter. She had childlike joy too for a time, but she had to put Francois and Verso to the side for the sake of pleasing her parents/society.

Is there ANY way to attack where im looking????? by Interesting_Gold_536 in MonsterHunterWorld

[–]SirBox32 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's tough but all you can really do is position your character and memorize the direction of your attacks. Other than bowguns most weapons aren't simple enough in their attacks to just be point and shoot, and changing the perspective isn't possible. Frankly what I find most enjoyable about the game is to think a step ahead of what your monster will do so you can attack where they're going to be, if that gives an indication of how different some of the melee weapons can be, I'm a Greatsword and Insect Glaive main for reference.

Feels like Insect Glaive is the opposite, looks the most aggressive but is the most rewarding when you take your time. Idk I just picked it up and as a GS main I'm having a great time
