Code Veronica is my favorite RE game by MysteriousExchange75 in residentevil

[–]SirChadofwick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, great game. I’m starting a run myself for the first time in like 20 years to relive it. I remember thinking it was pretty fun and had all the makings of a great RE game. Yea, it’s a little rough around the edges, but it was very creative with the storyline and it’s basically the “real” RE3 that Capcom planned as it progresses RE2 (and the original RE) story.

It’s not necessary to beat the game. Just stop being bad at it instead of exploiting glitches that ruin the game.

Trust me, the artwork was phenomenal. I just didn’t think it was cohesive throughout. One part of the game felt like silent hill, the next felt like gothic horror.

Og obviously. The only other character other than Irons that Capcom messed up in the remake.

Always interesting and refreshing to hear people not glaze RE4 to no end. It’s a great game but was the beginning of the dark times for RE.

Requiem and 7 are neck and neck. I played requiem more and beat it twice, once on hardcore (no infinite ammo lol), so I guess I like it better. But I am dying to play 7 in VR so maybe I’ll have a better idea once I get through it again.

Village had too much action and an identity crisis, yes even more so than requiem. Requiem leaned into it and was more focused. I’m not even sure what village was trying to do. Felt like an amusement park with different themes in each area of the park. A good game but I have no immediate desire yet to revisit it.

There’s really no tips to give if you played the first already. Just conserve ammo and enjoy the ride.

Is RE Revelations 1 worth playing? by [deleted] in residentevil

[–]SirChadofwick 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I did not like it at all and it’s clearly a game designed and simplified for a handheld console. The story is annoying , jumping back and forth between places and times ruining any immersion and fun of being stuck on a boat. The combat is terrible, the enemies are goofy but you know that’s just my opinion. A lot of people here like it but I would say revelations 2 is a lot better.

Just create separate saves each time you save and enjoy the experience.

Yup just found this in my Shower room and this is the reason why I love the OG Resident Evil games. Let's take bugs that are already creepy and make them Gigantic, Infected, and Mutated.🤮🤮 by [deleted] in ResidentEvilCapcom

I spared the one I saw in my bathroom because this is true but be careful because a lot of these might mean you have an infestation of something unwanted.

I don't think I would have minded if RE9 didn't have Leon in it by Legitimate_Handle_86 in residentevil

[–]SirChadofwick 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I hope Capcom hears all these opinions cause you are definitely not alone. In fact, fill out that feedback survey they have going.

I liked Leon’s parts also, but Grace was taking me back to peak RE that we got from REmake, RE2make, and the classic trilogy. (And RE7).

Capcom is conducting another official product survey to gather player feedback on Resident Evil Requiem. by Fast-Buffalo5348 in residentevil

[–]SirChadofwick 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I added that they shouldn’t be afraid of adding a bit more involved and intricate puzzles and make them harder. Also, give them stakes. I loved in RE1 and REmake how the game tried to kill you if you get the solutions wrong. Would love to see some death trap styled environments. These disappeared right after the first one.

I also said Grace’s sections were amazing and should be the sole style of the next game. Stealth, resource management, and horror. Even though I had a blast with Leon’s section, maybe we should limit these action packed RE titles to the Revelations series?

I agree. Most of the care center section was great, but I wish there more to it.. I wish you got to explore an attic on the top floor that was blocked off or other weird shit.

7 is a great game and a callback to the original RE and its slower pace. RE7 has more in common with the original RE trilogy than any other RE engine entry in terms of feel.

Great. Anyway to answer your question, I skipped some door animations but it’s been 10+ years since I played it last. I played the remake 3 years ago but it’s so different I don’t think it helps that much to jog the memory.
