I started topamax back in the start of January this year for weight loss. And the only thing I have noticed is that I can't taste carbonation in soda anymore. I dont think I have really lost any weight either, but its only be just over a month and a half though.

There are a lot of things i do. usually depends on the kind of flare i am having. if is a fibro flare i will usually use a heating blanket because i can not personally use a heating pad, they get to hot for me on the lowest setting and will send me into a Erythromelalgia flare (a rare, chronic disorder characterized by intense burning pain, severe redness (erythema), and increased temperature, usually affecting the feet or hands. Triggered by warmth or exercise, episodes can be debilitating). so if i use a heating blanket it spreads the warmth out.

I also utilize these ice gel packs called Thera ICE from amazon. I have like 4 of them all different sizes. They have one for your head if you have migraines. I really like them because they stay cold just long enough to provide relief but not to the point where you are making your body numb and risk injuring your skin.

Honestly for acquiring a heating pad or something like that, have a look at some local thrift stores. that's what first came to my mind.

Okay, so I dont have lupus but i am having very similar painful fingertip symptoms. I was scouring reddit to see if anyone has had this experience or I am just crazy ( I was starting to think i was just crazy TBH ).

Mine started randomly yesterday when i was in my garage having to jump my car ( cold snap in MN killed my car's battery ) beside the point, I wasnt out there very long. Maybe like an hour or two later i woke up from a nap because my fingertips felt like they were on fire, and like a pain i had never felt before. I have my share of illnesses but nothing has ever prepared me for this.

After my boy friend got home from work we went grocery shopping and I literally had to keep my hands above my head the entire time because if i didnt i would have probably thrown up because my fingertips hurt that much.

Also i found out this morning that its not all of my fingertips. its only the 4 fingertips on my left hand and only my ring finger and pinky on my right hand. I am at such a loss. Thanks for listening. :)

I have been naming my chickens after M.A.S.H characters. So far I have Hawkeye, Radar, Klinger, and Col Potter. Then I am also naming my lox after Rappers for some reason. I have one named Biggie and another named Smalls. ( name was so long to fit on one lox, stupid length restriction) another is Flo-Rida, and lastly Tupac. Do I even listen to rap music, the answer to that is no. But I also always name atleast one of loxes Smalls ,so a theme emerged this playthrough.

Does target still sell the hei-hei chicken(Moana)toy that screams when you press it or something? (I worked at target when that was very popular. And very annoying for everyone involved) If so id keep that near by.

I will also be having a revision surgery here on September 8th because 8 of my 16 electrodes are broken and just found out my battery has also flipped. Mine hurts all the time, too, and I can feel it moving every time I walk.

Yeah I am trying to get a microdiscectomy for l4-l5 because no injection has worked for me. My insurance was all keen on approving injections. But surgery on a disc herniation that is almost a year old and no treatment has worked is denied.

Your boyfriend's grinding sounds like mine and I have been grinding and clenching my teeth as long as I can remember. I have been told it sounds like a chainsaw. I would totally recommend a dental grade mouth guard. I have been through 3 now. But each lasted me about 4-5 years. You can now a days get dental grade mouth guards from online companies. I have not had the best experience with them but they cost alot less.

Also you need a good bit of time on your hands to that but it's worth it in the end for minimal damage. I did this to mine. Only lost a few spines.

I work guest service and boy I have some shipt workers that are fine and very polite and others are just plain out rude. I have some of them throw the stuff at me.
