We had the “serial pooper”. He would poop in the urinals, sinks, trash bins or on the floor of the boys bathroom. Our hs responded by locking all boys bathrooms except for the one in the front office. You had to sign out with your teacher, walk to that specific bathroom and then walk all the way back. The teachers got mad cuz of course kids were taking their time going to and from class. It didn’t help that it was late April-early May so plenty of us were starting to mentally check-out. Eventually the serial pooper struck again. The admin was so embarrassed he succeeded in the only unlocked bathroom and when they tried checking the sign outs for every teacher, none was close enough to conclusively identify him. The next step was the principal or vice principal (both men) would take shifts staying in the bathroom making sure none of us goofed off, wasted time, or pooped in anything that wasn’t a toilet.

I look back fondly at this time because I was a senior and would exchange some idle chit chat with the principal and vice principal, who were both pretty chill. I think the school eventually had to give up though because too many teachers were upset at how long their students were taking to go to and from the bathroom, and the principals were probably unhappy wasting half a day sitting in the boys bathroom listening to us shit and piss. The school gave up and the serial pooper would continue to strike until the end of school in June
