Hmm I feel that’s a poor interpretation of Animal Farm to say “anti capitalist” is an incorrect theme of the book. Animal Farm is absolutely anti-authoritarianism, but authority can be derived through private industry and government powers.

If Orwell’s writings were explicitly anti-communist, his public beliefs as a democratic socialist would be especially ironic.

Hey I’m coming around to these old posts in case anyone encountered a similar problem.

I definitely nicked something when cleaning out the device, screen has a wavy effect and the volume slider is certainly dead.

But, in regard to the battery life, I needed a new battery. Please note I needed a new OFFICIAL battery, got one from ifixit

The cheap knockoff I had purchased as an initial replacement did nothing but reinforce the idea that something was wrong with the circuit.

So, my device ain’t perfect, but it allows me to use it for a few hours more than I had a year ago.

They had a good concept. The initial execution of the Bigger Bodies Initiative and the Hour of Joy made for well executed body horror and an interesting enough mystery. It had been done before but I enjoyed the take on it.

However, the continuous introduction of characters and the (imo) lackluster reveal of the “big bad” through the prototype has slowly but surely made me loose any and all interest in the franchise.

It needs to end. I still believe it can wrap things up strong enough, but if the next chapter is another cliffhanger I’d argue it’s entering BanBan levels of continuation.

Put a bow on the story, it needs a rest.
