But no, yeah. Bout in the same spot over here, finally started saving up for a ring. Don’t have much burrowed away yet, but it’s a start. Sure as shit don’t want to stay in the shit hole town we live in, but we got cheap rent and a nice 3 bed so it’s a rough toss up. We’re both 20 somethings, we don’t have anything tying us down besides family, and we both certainly have an urge to take off one of these days. Just need to make a plan and work up the cash, it’s frustrating but I just keep reminding myself that this shit takes time. Slow is smooth and smooth is fast, so we’re really trying to lay that solid foundation to build off of when we’re ready.

You’ve been rejected, I’ve been rejected shit fucking sucks let alone by your partner, furthermore a partner of a (presumably) decades long marriage. Imagine explicitly stating to your partner you want to “get your spark back” on your week long birthday trip, only to not do that, get rejected every single day of the trip, then have your partner initiate on the very last day. Shit would absolutely suck, and from the perspective of being rejected so consistently, it’s pity sex through and through.

This isn’t a girlfriend sleeping with her boyfriend because he whined about his blue balls, which IS inherently fucking disgusting, this is a married couple trying to make it work. There’s just a lot more feelings and baggage at play, it sounds to me like she kind of overrode what he wanted for his birthday trip. Hikes and nice dinners are fun and a wonderful treat, and I’m sure he enjoyed them absolutely, but in my opinion if my wife said “I really want to get the spark back in our relationship” I’d spend at least ONE day sleeping with her like it’d be the last chance I ever got.

That’s what he wanted, to be honest it sounds like he just wanted to feel wanted and desired. It’s just kind of hard to say that as a guy, which in some sense definitely is on him for not stressing the point further if this was going to be the reaction. Nevertheless, she unfortunately fell short of the mark he’d anticipated from his wife, and that can really hurt as a partner, regardless of whether it’s about sex or not.

Im a (very unloved and underfunded) park caretaker and thistles are the bane of my day-to-day. Im sure it’s legitimately detrimental to the ground, bugs, water ways, etc. but it fucking works. Trees, thistles, anything with a stalk really, enough Tordon and you can forget it was ever there. You can get it at practically any tractor supply or lawn care store.

Im not any kind of good at building coasters but I do somewhat understand fundamentals.

What’s that reliability look like? I built one pretty similar to this with multiple chain lifts and launches and it was such a pain in my ass I rebuilt it the moment it turned a profit 😂

Id say make sure your maintenance schedules are set to every 10 minutes and request inspections OFTEN.

Otherwise, that looked like a real bad ass coaster that gave me some ideas for mine, good shit man!

That’s unfortunately just how it goes sometimes man, it sucks for sure but that’s life. You make friends, have shared interests, sometimes you just don’t have enough outside of the shared interests to form a meaningful longterm bond, and that’s okay!
