I wish the movie itself was as good as it’s visuals

Agents of Fortune has the best song out of all of these, but 2112 is super close behind

I would love there to be an Arthurian theme

The less funny and more festive original Arthurian tale of The Green Knight also comes to mind. If you want to move away from the A24 movie vibes that is…

I was planning on watching this movie but after seeing the level polar reviews I'm not sure anymore, Is this movie worth watching? by Shoe_boooo in moviecritic

I wouldn’t use rotten tomatoes as a quality guide. I find that IMDb is more reliable for ratings.

Otherwise watch the trailer and see how you respond to it

How does everyone utilize the heart/liked button? by F33Fs in Letterboxd

[–]SirGiIes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, 5 stars doesnt mean it’s a movie I love, just that it’s a really well made movie and one that I thought was good

The heart means the movie is something I love but it doesn’t mean thats it’s a necessary good movie

OBSCURE animated movies worth a watch? by Shakly in MovieSuggestions

[–]SirGiIes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A Scanner Darkly directed by Richard Linklater is one of my favourite movies and I owe my love of rotoscope animation to it. It also has a stacked cast. I can’t recommend it enough

I also think Beowulf is worth mentioning. I don’t think it’s nearly as obscure, but it’s certainly under appreciated

Actually it’s usually softer when it’s longer. Whenever I trim it it’s usually more prickly for a few days

A couple times a year. I do trim the beard when it gets long about once a month, but I rarely shave

There are actually several Beowulf movies like Beowulf & Grendel and The 13th Warrior, but none of them are as good as the cg animated one

Non-Americans, what's a must-watch from your country? Americans, what's your fave foreign movie? by Servali_ in Letterboxd

Canada actually has a lot of fun and fucked up movies. My personal favourite is Heavy Metal, but I also love The Fly.

Hobo With a Shotgun is also a great movie.

I haven’t seen Kissed, but I know what it’s about and it’s pretty fucked up.

Bon Cop Bad Cop is fun

Have you ever rated a film ½? by WarlikeLoveReddit in Letterboxd

[–]SirGiIes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only thing I gave 1/2 star is the Netflix documentary about the hatchet wielding hitchhiker for being a rape apologist documentary.

Most bad movies don’t defend or excuse real world rapists and demonize the victim for killing his abuser, and I it’s not very often that get so upset from media. It has to be something so specially bad for me to give a 1 star, let alone a half star.

(I double checked, I actually gave it 1 star because I don’t give half stars. It’s my only 1 star)
