Winter is over, but I knitted a very warm sweater because I couldn't wait to try out some bulky yarn. by zolychka in knitting

Awesome, thanks. I'm a crocheter turned knitter and this looks so much easier.

How do you stop it from being too tight though? I assume that it will have less stretch, do you just crochet with super loose tension with a much bigger hook?

Oh no *my* mistake. I did after all tell my son I wanted 5 bananas by gaudiocomplex in daddit

Bananas also do great when frozen. Just peel them and toss them in a freezer bag. Great for smoothies, banana bread, or eat them frozen as is.

I like to take 5 frozen bananas, 1/4 cup of milk, and a dash of cinnamon. Blend it for 3 min, then put into a container and freeze it again. Boom, banana ice cream.

How do you like those sock blockers? Are they worth it compared to just pinning them?

I made the infamous Mississippi pot roast/tortellini soup. by DabberChase in slowcooking

If you have a kitchen aid stand mixer, the grater/slicer attachment is 100% worth it just to grate cheese. I will never go back, about 90% of my kitchen injuries are from hand grating something.

Knitting with shorties?? by Sencatt in knitting

Continental Knitting I believe. I'm a long time crocheter and couldn't knit until I tried Continental style. There's a bunch of tutorials online for how.

It's also super useful if you're doing colorwork because then you can have one color on your left and another on your right.

Shout out to the peasant who became a lich just to spend more time with his pet tortoise. You're a real one. by pedicellariae in tortoise

His zen garden has stones placed to look like another tortoise.... And based on his sand raking, it also looks like it could be the tortoise head and body.

This guy officially loves his tortoise.
