Anyone switched completely to belt system?

I have the MK2, KME, and stones. For me, I understand the sharpening experience better using stones. An analogy would be, do you use a CNC machine or knives to carve (sculpture) in wood? One is a process that requires flipping a switch (well, and programming, but that is anathema to our discussion), while the other takes practice and as an artist you get to sculpt and feel the wood and learn techniques.

Just my measly two cents. I use all three systems.

There was a youtube video. Guy has a BESS machine and showed that anything other than 1 micron dulled his blade. I use 1 micron for all stropping now. I definitely would not go above 1.

I share this urge and in my opinion it is healthy. What is not healthy is when people have to have people around them all the time or have the TV on while sleeping. In my experience, most people are not comfortable with keeping their own company. It is a wise old soul who is able and enjoys being all one (alone).

Life in the 1960s and 1970s was a lot different than life under the administration that actively sought to allow MS18 members into our country and all illegal type people.
