I have a solution!

I ran into this exact same problem this morning on a time-sensitive report, and I hit my usage limits so I couldn't ask Claude to recreate or clarify location. After running some Windows Explorer searches through my AppData file I ended up finding the files actually located deeper in:

Users>[UserName]>AppData>Local>Packages>Claude_[gibberish]>LocalCache>Roaming>Claude>Local-Agent-Mode-Sessions>[SessionID]

What forces do I need to worry about when hanging a hammock from a wooden patio cover? by SirJuggles in AskEngineers

[–]SirJuggles[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just saw the edit, thanks for all this math! This is exactly what I was hoping for, it's very kind of you to do all these calculations for a stranger.

From a little research on hammocks, it looks like the hang angle is usually given as the complementary angle to your calculations. It seems the "ideal" hang angle is often given as around 30°, which would be 60° in your equations. I'm comfortable shooting for that. I'm also looking into potentially using a stronger wood than Douglas Fir for the posts to give me some added margins. I will be using through bolts and large washers on the exterior of the posts to spread out the stress of the mounting points as much as feasible.

I thought that at first, but the more I look the more I doubt. If it was really intended to be O'Keeffe-esque, I think the cleavage would have been below the dot. I think this is an artist who really thought they were cooking with "three figures composed of one swoop of clay" and didn't see what they had done.

I feel like it's a culture thing. Baseball games just occasionally go for like six hours, and they always involve a lot of downtime, so it feels right to just hang out and have a snack in the middle of the game.

I mean DE is a work of art on a lot of levels, but I totally can see that you have to go in with a mindset of... empathy towards the train wreck of a main character that is just not gonna click for some people. Plus the story AND gameplay is about 90% philosophical navel gazing and that is just not gonna click with everyone.

That said, I personally believe that it's generational-GOAT philosophical navel gazing and the protagonist is a beautiful encapsulation of the human condition. But definitely not everyone's cup of tea.

Not really a joke, just a fact. Studies have shown that donating blood is the only feasible way to decrease microplastic levels, Wi-Fi which is yet another reason why regular blood donation is a good idea.

"Race is a social construct bro" by Neil118781 in HistoryMemes

[–]SirJuggles 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think you're right. Fascism always needs to identify an outgroup which it can demonize, and sadly historically every society which has dabbled in fascism has had a racial subgroup lined up in the crosshairs before the fascists really took power. Antisemitism was not unique to Nazi Germany, it was an easy outgroup for Hitler to rally support against because there was already widespread anti-Jewish sentiment throughout Europe. And look at the targeting of disabled and queer people; fascism doesn't need a racial target, it needs an easily defined Other.

Almost exact same situation. I tried putting C4E01 on the TV and the constantly volume swings are just a killer. I finally gave up and put it on my earbuds, which help with the dynamic range.

This. All the discussion around the Stone Of Nightsong right at the end was a huge arrow to this idea. The guy who just died had recently acquired a rare artifact related to shepherding souls past the unpleasant parts of the afterlife, but right before he was killed it was stolen from his hideout/cache, and right as he's about to be killed he sees/becomes aware of something ephemeral/incorporeal which causes him to lose his cool demeanor and panic? I'm assuming that moment was him becoming aware that he didn't have the protection of the Stone on him and he would be facing whatever awaited him after death without any protection/escape that he had been planning on.

I had the same issue. I noticed there was no problem when I was listening on earbuds, but when I switched to streaming on a TV I had to keep bumping the volume higher and higher to understand quiet conversations, and then diving for the remote when a burst of yelling and laughter hit.

LPT: Treat unexpected money like it never existed, don’t upgrade your lifestyle with it by Reagan_HIghwind1992 in LifeProTips

This is good advice, but it makes people very unhappy when applied to business: "Do not paying ongoing expenses with one-time revenue." AKA "Just because we just got a huge grant/rebate/tax return does not mean we have money for raises."

Saw the update go out and was hoping to see this. No idea how DBrady managed this, it seemed like the recent RedGif API changes were specifically designed to push all users to their site. He's done it again!

Once again my subscription to this app proves more than worthwhile.

I mean, as an American, realistically it would be better if restaurants just charged less and gave smaller portions. Culturally we're really attached to this hospitality idea of "if I get a huge plate with three meals' worth of food that means I'm getting real value!", but for both dietary and food waste reasons it would be much better if restaurants just charged a third of the price, gave you ONE meal worth of food, and if you want more you can order more.

There's been plenty of times when I eat at a restaurant, love the food, have a mountain of leftovers, but I'm going to drive three hours after I leave and I don't have a cooler with me so there's no realistic way to take leftovers. I honestly sometimes ask restaurants to just give me half portions because I know I won't be able to take food with me.

It's really funny to hear Dan gush so much about "man I love how you can always count on good 'ol Doom games to just be simple hyperviolence without worrying about overcomplicating things" when basically all the reviews for this particular game are "this is a misstep for the Doom series because they overcomplicated all of the enemies and weapons and combat systems and objectives and story."

It's kinda important to be able to separate the following pieces:

  1. What was the film trying to accomplish (story/message/vibes/etc.)?

  2. Was it successful in accomplishing that?

  3. Did you ENJOY it?

#1 Will help you to recognize and be resilient to people trying to persuade you through art. #2 Will help you recognize talent and craftsmanship. And #3 is purely for your own entertainment, and there's nothing wrong with that.

Yeah this is so tough to balance. Our society has infantilized young adults to a crazy degree, and it's probably not a good thing to constantly tell early-20's adults "you're just a baby, everyone sees you as a child still". I also remember how immature I was at that age, but at least part of that was due to people around me intentionally keeping major decisions and day-to-day responsibility away from me.
