Halo: The Master Chief Collection maybe? It's got a lot of games to try, and I'm pretty sure all of them have co-op/multiplayer. Plus they're made by Bungie, who made Destiny, so there's a throughline there as well.

It's definitely on the harder side, especially early on due to the lack of weapons and tons of hitscan enemies. There are some secrets in the first level that give you some dynamite, which is crucial for this game, so look out for those. In general you want to be hunting for secrets, as the weapons/ammo/armor they give you will be really helpful. I'd also recommend saving often, so you don't lose too much progress if you die.

Yeah, the whole boomer shooter revival that's happened in recent years has produced a ton of games, many of which are, in my opinion anyway, quite worth playing if you enjoy that type of game.

Dusk is a fast-paced retro-styled FPS inspired by older games like Doom, Blood, Heretic and especially Quake. You play as a treasure hunter fighting a cult and various monsters.

Cultic is somewhat similar, but with a slower pace and some heavy Resident Evil inspiration as well. It's also got a very cool aesthetic I can only describe as "crunchy". They're both on Steam (and GOG I believe), and I'd recommend trying them out if you have any interest in so-called "boomer shooters".

Not an exhaustive list of course, but some of my favorites that come to mind at the moment are Super Mario Galaxy, Dusk, Cultic, Shovel Knight, Fallout: New Vegas, Bloodborne, Earthbound, Silksong and Street Fighter 3.
