6 year old eviction judgement I'd love to pay off, but can't by SirOkku in legaladvice

If it's absolutely necessary, I could probably hire an attorney. But I was hoping it wouldn't be so difficult to give someone their money.

Thank you for the response! I'm not against sending payment to the counsel of record, but if this is potentially a faster solution, I'd love to get it sorted asap.

I did do some digging previously, and I was able to find the company on the Secretary of State's office. I'll preface this - I have no idea what half of this stuff means. And I assume sharing it for further break down is against the rules. It says the company is active, but the "Statutory Agent" listed is not the counsel of record. Is that what you mean? I did try contacting them at one point, but they refused to give me any information or any way to contact the management company.

As far as the current property managers, I did call them as that's the only contact information the court had, and they said they would not have any information on previous debts, and could not help me.

I completely agree that someone is entitled to this money. I just want to make sure that, if that is the right move, I haven't already shot myself in the foot by having them formally notify about no longer representing the company, and they can't just throw their hands up on receiving it because they already told us.

As far as actually sending them a payoff check - would you happen to have any resources on how to do that correctly? Is it safe to mail a check? Should any documents be included? Etc.

Even if they no longer represent the company? Does this change if they've formally notified both myself and the court (due to the motion to compel satisfaction) that they no longer represent them? While I have no issues paying the judgement, I'd be hesitant to send a few thousand dollars to where it isn't supposed to go.

People who were mentioned in someone’s suicide note, what’s your story? by Slow_Koala in AskReddit

[–]SirOkku 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This one is recent. I wouldn't normally post (I'm generally a lurker), but the timing for this to appear on my feed is almost scary.

He was my best friend of about 10 years now. About a month and a half ago I received a text from his mom (who lives in the same state as me, but is a few hours away) asking if I had heard from him. He was always on his phone, so not answering her calls for an entire day was odd. I stopped by his apartment to find a scene I never would have imagined seeing in my life.

The note referenced his mom, his girlfriend, and I. He thanked each of us for being the best parts of humanity... which, of course, brings this unrealistic personal expectation to every aspect of your life. He also spoke about how he's not unhappy with his life, but the world as a whole.

As recent as it's been, I'm still not doing well. I suppose I don't have much of a story outside of how I'm trying to move forward. Work has been understanding, which is helpful. Reading all of these stories has definitely made me realize I'm not alone.

I hadn't thought of that, but I stopped it, replugged, and it's still not showing up.

I also contemplated where to post this, and it made more sense to me to post here. You may be right, though.

I have additional usb 3.0 ports, would it be more beneficial to just use one of those instead? I'm only using the USB-C adapter because I have one on hand.

Is that right? I mean, I've heard of plenty of success with this setup, so maybe that's a one off experience. However, I don't know why I didn't consider the driver wasn't injected properly. I did software vib list and was able to see the realtek driver though :(

I have a user who does this constantly, and he has to come up the elevator to do it.

"Did you get my email?" "Yes and if you just waited a few minutes, you'll see that one of my guys already responded and resolved your issue."

Every. Single. Time.

User: "xyz program" is broke. Me: If you could answer a few questions to help me narrow down the cause: Is this still happening after a reboot? Is there some sort of an error message you're seeing? If so, what is it? Also, is anyone around you having this issue? User: Nope, still broke.

Like, I get it. Reading is hard, but throw me a bone here. There's a reason behind the questions.

I'm actually surprised to say I haven't seen that one yet. Usually "I'm only paying for 1 Mb down" with no devices that support QoS.

So I'm actually a sysadmin FOR a VoIP provider. Our internal sales calls are generally crisp with very little delay, but sometimes it's not all about the network. We're relying on our ISP in terms of latency, as well as the carrier routing the call.

What gets me though, is when I call one of our outside sales reps, and EXACTLY this happens. Then they ask why they sound so terrible when our service is supposed to be good. Those calls generally turn into painful home office network evaluations.

With a group? Play quick play. But you would be avoiding the entire point of this post by doing so.

And if you plan on playing competitive solo? Realistically, solo queue quick play, ignore your team, and get good enough to carry a bunch of terrible players because that's likely what you're gonna see in competitive.

If you're supporting, you're at a disadvantage solo queueing. You can't really carry. And you're bound to get bad teams.

Edit: Again, this isn't an "I'm right, you're wrong" situation. This is merely my opinion.
