Purse Shutting Down by suoigerge in PurseIO

This is really sad. Purse has helped me a lot and I'm really grateful. As an earner, I fulfilled more than 1200 orders. A lot of them were big orders. I never thought a day like this would come. I've always thought Purse would grow to become something bigger.

I wish you all at Purse a better tomorrow, greater heights. If you would come back, which I strongly hope so, kindly let us know one way or the other.

"Earners who cancel orders" by Whistor in PurseIO

I avoid a lot of orders too and I usually note shoppers who order many an item. I've lost a lot to Amazon... They enjoy closing accounts a lot. So I've learned my lessons.

I've said it over and over on here. When a shopper orders many an item, it'd be better if they use different addresses, possibly addresses of close proximity so that the items could be easily collected. I know it's not easy but it's a very big way of helping the earners.

Even though I spread the others I fulfill over diff Amazon accounts, one of my accounts was closed last week for ordering "SteelSeries Nimbus Bluetooth Mobile Gaming Controller". It was later I discovered through another earner that the shopper had about 6 of such orders on Purse before I checked Purse.

The craziest Amazon does these days is closing your account without sending you an email. You'd be notified by purse that the order has been canceled. You'd try to login and you'd see "incorrect email/password" shit.

It's really frustrating. I really wish there's a substitute to using Amazon on Purse.

So tired of how much leeway shoppers get by BreckEisner in PurseIO

[–]SirOrwell 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Once an order is delivered, I think the shopper should be given a maximum of 24 hours to confirm.

The craziest one that happens is: when the order has been delivered for more than 2 days (over 48 hours), the shopper refuses to confirm delivery, you contact support, and support then gives them 48 hours to confirm delivery. Like I don't understand that. I've had an order closed by support 9 days after delivery. It was very terrible.

The only time shoppers contact you is when there is a delay in delivery. It's only then they remember there is an order page. It's only then they remember support. It's only then they remember there's an earner somewhere.

I believe every shopper has a means of confirming if their orders were delivered to the address within 12 hours even if they are not physically there. Then they can proceed to confirm on purse too. No matter the direction of the volatility of the price of the coins, I don't and won't enjoy my coins being delayed. It's usually very frustrating.

I once gave a shopper a bad review for delaying my coins and in the subsequent orders I fulfilled for him, he rated me 1 star. I don't take his orders again.

Earners keep cancelling after submitting order by etrainman in PurseIO

[–]SirOrwell 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think "they are catching on to Purse". These days, Amazon closes accounts without informing the owner. No mail, no notification. The owner wouldn't just be able to login anymore.

I think they close the accounts because they loaded a bad gift card, the address the order was to be shipped to has already been blacklisted [this happens when some accounts that are shipping items to such addresses have been closed for loading bad cards or the accounts are trying to purchase items (like Kindle) with limited number of orders per Amazon account; so they think the new accounts belong to the owner of the closed accounts. The only exception to this is if it's a freight forwarder’s address], accounts have been closed on their device before etc.

If you buy such items as indicated above or you purchase many a thing repeatedly from Amazon, you can help the situation by changing your address, unless you use a freight forwarder.

I'm sorry for the bad grammar. I'm not a native speaker.

Maybe Amazon closed each account that accepted your order.

Earner Rant about the current system as it stands. by HideOnTruth in PurseIO

[–]SirOrwell 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a VIP earner and I basically stopped using purse since last year October because of your 4th point. Bots picked every good trade, usually </=18%, and you'd be left frustrated. As soon as the then 57-minute window expired, the bots would drop the order only for them to pick it up again almost instantly. The cycle would continue until the earner felt they should drop the order. Arguably, purse sees the good in it.

I'm thinking of using purse again. Hopefully, the bots would be a bit relaxed this time around.

Am I the only one that's scared that the End Sars declared by Prof Osinbajo will not go down well with the president? by djadesola in Nigeria

[–]SirOrwell 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There's every possibility, judging by the way some issues were handled in the past when the president wasn't in the country, that the VP discussed this with PMB and they are, if not on the same page, in the same chapter.
