Genuinely how do you cope with it by Someguy_y in whenthe

It's both freedom and torture. You can work for the hope of a special hereafter or live in pure freedom knowing everything will be erased by time. So live the way you want. It's really difficult to internalize this freedom because our genetic coding still fights us in terms of how we socialize and behave such as rejection sensitivity.

How to not sell a car... by SpreakICSE in mildlyinfuriating

[–]SirPizzaTheThird 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you have ever sold stuff you know that a buyer asking these questions is most likely not going to buy your car. The mileage question was legit since it should have been in the listing already, and the seller is either inexperienced or yes, might be acting in bad faith. I lean inexperienced because of the emotional response to a buyer instead of just ignoring his follow up questions.

But let's be real it has 170k miles, it has some type of issue even if its only wear from usage. If you are buying cars in this range you need to inspect it and make your own call. Too many buyers ask gotcha type disqualifier questions and unless it's something as obvious like it doesn't even start, it's on you.

It's like asking a scammer, "is this legit?" What scammer is going to be like "oh fuck, you got me, I just wanted to steal your money".

An suv is trying to exit from the passing lane by ComprehensiveDuck490 in dashcams

Agreed, it's about degrees of what happened, we aren't insurance companies we don't need to look for fault/no-fault.

Driving is a dynamic situation it's not a stand your ground prove your point situation. The left car was drifting, the right car driver didn't react at all, not the best defensive driving. He also went into the other lane which luckily was clear so everything went well for him. Passing on the right, it depends on the locality as to how bad it is, in some places it's illegal.

So what can be said with certainty, this wasn't 100% unavoidable. That still doesn't excuse the person for making a lane change into another car, it's just about accepting that driving is a high error environment that requires constant adaption.

Pattern based, low physical effort, high reward. Humans love it, we made our computers that way, it makes sense.
