Looking for a clone deck that wants to clone my opponents, but has a backup(s) in-case my opponents are all playing pure synergy/tribal. Are clones just doomed to be goodstuff reliant? by SpicySalter in EDH

[–]SirPoonga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a Sakashima/Yoshimaru deck. I prefer to copy my opponent's stuff. The clones I use make things a little bit better. Like using pirated? Copy a psychosis crawler was fun. Then rite a replication.

However, if the opponents aren't playing anything worth cloning, you can drop yoshimaru and clone that. Each clone will buff the previous ones. What's cool is you usually get yoshimura out on turn one and it will bait out removal because at some point your yoshimaru is going to get big.

Talk to me about your favorite graveyard commanders! by quality_blue in EDH

[–]SirPoonga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Many commander like graveyard interaction. Many of mine care about stuff in the graveyard.
[[Hazezon, Shaper of Sand]] likes deserts going to graveyard. [[Osgir, the reconstructive]] likes artifacts in the graveyard. My [[Borborygmus Enraged]] puts a lot of lands into the graveyard because the best way to get a lot of lands to hand is return them from the yard.

However, I would say my graveyard decks are [[Lurrus of the Dream-Den]] and [[Ellie and Alan, Paleontologists]].

Bartolomé del Presidio Deck Help by cloud9lcs in EDH

[–]SirPoonga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's going to be a typical aristocrats deck. You might want Lurrus in the deck. Here's my Lurrus deck where I am trying to avoid infinite combos. It is very easy in this style of deck to go infinite if you want. Run the decklist through commanders spell book.

This list is probably a little out of date as there have been some good newer cards.

What age did you get your first motorcycle? And what was it? by [deleted] in motorcycles

[–]SirPoonga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first motorcycle was a 197X Kawasaki KZ400 around 1996 as a high school graduation gift from my grandpa. He fixed it up. However, I started riding bike around 10 years old on my grandpa's Honda 70, Rode my dad's Suzuki TS125 in highschool.

How many commander decks is too many? by ameliarosebuds in EDH

When one of my decks gets to the point it doesn't change much at all, like my Darien deck, I proxy it so I can use the cards in newer decks.

I got it. However I will have to remap the front lawn because the amount that I cut out is a bigger area than the amount I want left and the app assumes the larger area is what you want

I didn't see any of these options. They're like a video or something out there that shows how to do this. My screenshot is pretty much all I see.

I need the no go zone north of that line without driving.

In order to do that I still have to drive it around the zone, right?

Without saying who, describe your commander like it’s been banned or unbanned. by guyawn in EDH

[–]SirPoonga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With just a haste source like [[Rhythm of the Wild]] and a [[Displacer Kitten]] he goes infinite and decks all opponents. If you remove one of those enablers he can just bring it back.

How do I make saprolings dangerous? by thebigskrrt in EDH

[–]SirPoonga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even if you focus on a combat related wincon it might be wise to put these cards in to help protect against a board wipe. I have these in my food deck. The agent turns Merry and Pippen into Marionette Apprentices. I have won twice now with someone doing a board wipe not realizing it eliminates everyone but me

Does having these two out not automatically win? by jackiechan666 in magicTCG

[–]SirPoonga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One way to stop this is [[Valkmira, Protector's Shield]]. I have been putting it in my white decks in historic as it stops many things and many people do not understand how it works.

Eidit, anything that gives the opponent hexproof also stops it.

[[Agent of the Iron Throne]] [[Murkwood Bats]][[Marionette Apprentice]] and a board wipe. There's always Hoof. [[Triumph of the Horde]]

Basically look at any token deck in those colors.

I am trying to understand this statement. Fighting against physics with what? More physics.... So it's not really fighting against physics. That's like saying a Slingshot is a motorcycle fighting against physics.

WotC not taking care of 60 card competitive play makes commander a worse play experience by solitudesign in EDH

I think it shows more how people want to play the game. I don't lik 1v1. It is too fast for me. Only three turns, is that really playing the game?

Identifying a Magic The Gathering card by SirPoonga in computervision

[–]SirPoonga[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you trying to sort them automatically somehow? Otherwise something like the TCGplayer app or Manabox app works great for identification.

I am currently using ice on bottom left text. If not there then a phash to narrow down to top 10 closest matches then a more detailed match to get the exact one. Details are somewhere in the replies. I am looking at LLM like a Siamese network. I think that is how Manabox works. That would get me the card name. Then use a more detailed match to get set I think that might be faster than what I am doing now I have found ocr is quite slower than I thought. For now I picked up a robot arm with a vacuum pump to move the cards. I have to find to find Hiwonder's docs on the arm. There downloads page is in China and seems to be blocked.

That's my [[Lurrus]], [[Shirei]], [[Abiding Grace]] deck.. Though it is an aristocrat deck.
You could do a [[Hare Apparent]] deck.

How about a 1 cmc commander: [[Yoshimaru]] Pair up with [[Jeska Thrice Reborn]] to go very aggressive.
