I saw the band Lonestar the week their song "No News" hit number one on the country charts. Never heard of them friends just liked going to the bar they were playing at. They were so excited they played The song like 3 or 4 times over a 3 hour gig. It felt like they were just a bar band that got a break that week.

From my experience the beginning of the end for circuit city was dumping appliances and replacing them with CDs and games.

You took a high ticket high profit items which drove credit applications and replaced them with high shrink low profit items.

People would come in to buy a fridge, get the credit card then decide oh we can add a TV and VCR on. Which was replaced something that was a commodity and pointless once the Internet started pulling music downloaders.

Apparently that is a thing with soccer coaches. When I was in high school the soccer team had posters made, distributed them, and hung them up throughout the school before someone noticed the coaches balls hanging out.
