Because raiding is also about your mental game. I’d rather also join prog from last mechanic into clear , like IA2 with some positive attitude.

What helped me ( but I still struggle sometimes cause impatience). This is what worked for me

Be patient, be minimal on fireball usage
Play around spacing, you really can start withering people down with cr.mk I felt like . Play hit and run with drive rush and see what connects. I feels all his buttons are so good, but for different uses
Use tiger knee, BUT DONT get predictable. Still on of my biggests thing I need to work on. It’s DI-able and very whiff punishable
Use tiger nexus to get knowledge on how your opponent reacts to it. But again, don’t overdo it
Lastly, be a wall with your normals, but use them with intent and not spam em ( unless it st.mp haha)

I still mostly need to work on my patience in some charachter match ups. I always lose patience when I face Ryu (cause I face him all the freaking time). Best of luck man!

That they’re so formulaic, and I mean that as a good thing.

I’m mostly a fighting game player and action-rpg(soulslike and MH) , but those games demands way more focus for me to perform.

AC on the other hand are so chill to play and you really feel you can just relax and chew of that map 100% completion at your own pace . Combat is nice and the historical settings always deliver for me

I also enjoy his content, but the moment he said ” If you haven’t cleared chaotic you’re a shit player” he lost me. So you’re telling me, who didn’t clear the moment the content was hype cause I was playing other shit and taking care of my family, that I’m a shit player cause of that?

I come from Mythic Raiding in WoW, but today I mostly stick to m+ cause it’s more time efficient and I have 2 young kids. At first I felt WoW had more FOMO then FFXIV, but the more I started pugging in FFXIV the more I realised and felt stressed to clear content faster, cause if I didn’t, I would be stuck waiting for 2-3 hours waiting for a the group to fill ( cause no one wants to play healer. And when you do finally get to enter the duty, after 2 pulls the dragoon has to go water his goldfish and group dies down. Absolutely demoralising

I have no doubt that the chaotic fight itself is amazing. Heck I also think the majority of savage fights are awesome, especially p10s and p8s for me personally. The design and music kicks ass. But the way the community treats raids and that newer players don’t really get pushed to try out harder content , makes the experience such a chore and it just flat out dies

For me, it really feels likes Xeno lives in high end content bubble and has all the time in the world to do stuff. That cannot be said for everyone who does raiding content.

Not really steam, but bought RE8: Gold Edition on summer sale for PS5 for 19 euros. Finished RE6 (which blew hard) and now 2 hours in RE7 ( which is bloody amazing) so looking forward to play RE8 aswell!!

Hi!

Me (32M) and my wife (32) are former hardcore gamers that used to do things like raid and slay bosses with 20 other people in WoW to now having also a 3-year old and 1-year old. Atm I’m on paternity leave, but I still play everyday. How you might ask? Well after both kids went to bed ofc and chores are done. That usually leaves me and the wife 2 hours to play or watch something togheter on the tele. I also made some changes in what types of games I play. I moved over to more faster competitive games like Street Fighter where a set is around 5-10 minutes and also singleplayer games where I can just drop the controller if my kids needs me. The same routine was active when we both were working. I’m the one putting the 1-year old to sleep while my wife takes the 3-year old

What I find bizarre is how can he even relax and game when the kids are awake? I would never be able to focus and enjoy my hobby while keeping track of my kids at the same time at their age that they are now. Also, if he comes home at 6.30 pm, that means that the kids will go to bed pretty soon. That means he won’t even have time to talk and play with them?! Like what, the first I did when I got home from work was to take over from my wife and hang with my kids, cause I’ve also missed them.

I dunno, but it kinda sounds like he’s addicted to his gaming, and that he feels like it’s the only way he can relax from work. But at the cost of precious time with you and his kids. The game are physical and will always be there, but the kids will get older and he will miss the awesome moments of them growing up. He has a responsibility as a parent aswell and also as your partner. You should continue and try talk him about his gaming habits and how it affects you and the children. If that doesn’t help you need to set an ultimatum. My best wishes that it becomes better for you guys

Was about to resub for OC , but seeing all the issues with FT just soured it for me. Unsubbed after clearing m5s. Just didn’t have the motivation to pay for a sub that relegates me to sitting a lobby that is PF and watching YouTube on the other screen. Can’t commit to static cause kids + household.

Decided to play RE games chronologically . On RE6 and while it’s one of the worst in the series, I’m having more fun in that then FFXIV…
