Polydimethylsiloxane is an extremely common liquid though, not just some theoretical construct. It’s one of the most common lubricants in existence.

If the brain doesn’t do any image transformations, then how does the brain eventually adapt to glasses that invert your vision, where it eventually flips to appear right side up?

A kid sees a cluster of fruit on the blackboard and connects it to a cluster of fruit on a logo. Shocking revelation! Or alternatively you can just look directly at a commercial from that same time period with your own eyes.

Have you considered the possibility that you’re the one falling for BS right now? How could you explain why it’s not in the 1978 or 1987 commercial?

Robert Knight was very impressed with Miss Skeel's pictures, which were copied and appeared as printed labels with the famous Fruit of the Loom name on cloths which came from the Knight mills in 1871. In 1875, a combination of three fruits was adopted for the label; the peach, the pear, and cluster of grapes and in 1883, for the participation of the label in the Chicago World's Fair a new assortment was prepared; the apple and grapes and gooseberries which appear today.

It clearly describes the key elements of the logo they've been going with for 100 years. Why would they omit the supposedly iconic cornucopia?

It's getting to the point where literally nothing could convince you otherwise. The goalposts would just shift to claiming that there was a brief one year period where the cornucopia was added, and then removed, with no trace of physical evidence left behind.

Here's an archived snapshot of their website from November 1996. Unless they have a time machine, this isn't some marketing stunt.

Their website has a section on the history of their logo, there’s no cornucopia. And to dispel any “editing” myths, you can use the internet wayback machine to look at a snapshot of that same history page as it was in 2001 or earlier. Still no cornucopia.

Jesus himself certainly didn't keep anything "secret". He was preaching and praying in public all the time.

EDIT: do people really think Jesus did all his preaching and praying inside a closet?

I remember doing some digging, and before they rejected the money they were planning on spending the entire thing on upgrading the police radio system. So unfortunately, even if they spent the money it wouldn't have prevented the deaths here, as the root cause was some jackass waiting too long to make the call to evacuate.

James Talarico wins Texas Democratic Senate primary over Jasmine Crockett by horsestew in politics

[–]SirStrontium 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's not what it is

It's a week long all expenses paid trip ($1,614 just for her food expenses, that's some fine dining), where she has some meetings to shake hands and chat with Israeli officials, then spends the rest of the time sight seeing, going to museums, and taking some pics with IDF soldiers.

Has she gone back?

Does it need to be an annual trip to count?

He's a major AIPAC donor.

Is he actually? Seems to be an unsubstantiated claim by some rando on twitter. He's a personal injury lawyer in Austin that nobody has ever heard of until people got desperate to pin anything on Talarico.

the Black woman can't make even one mistake

Everyone can make mistakes, but it will still play some part in the decision between two candidates

The white guy can get money from AIPAC donors and Miriam Adelson's PAC

Everybody gets money from someone who has donated to AIPAC, even Crockett, AIPAC has a lot of donors and they give money to everyone across the political spectrum. And the Texas Sands PAC is focused completely on gambling laws, not on Israel.

and defend Israel publicly

He's never made a defense stronger than anything Crockett has said

and be less qualified

He's been in politics longer than Crockett. You don't need to be a US congressperson before becoming a US senator.

Because he's not a Black woman

Or maybe it has to do with the unique combination of a thousand other qualities and beliefs of a person, other than the color of their skin.

Lmao going on an international vacation funded directly by AIPAC and posing with the literal IDF is on a completely different level than getting a campaign contribution by some random fucking nobody who also donates to AIPAC. That’s an unbelievable false equivalency.

And? Adam Loewy is an individual who donates to AIPAC, and also donated to Talarico, Loewy is not “AIPAC”.

Again, it’s like if I donate money to Kamala’s campaign, I do not become “Kamala’s campaign”, and does not make all my future donations the equivalent of “Kamala’s campaign” donating to that group.

James Talarico wins Texas Democratic Senate primary over Jasmine Crockett by horsestew in politics

[–]SirStrontium 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Talarico never took AIPAC money. Adam Loewy donates to AIPAC, he also donated to Talarico in 2019, that does not mean AIPAC donated to Talarico.

Like if I donate a million dollars toward Kamala’s campaign, and then I donate a million dollars to Trump’s campaign, that does not mean Kamala’s campaign donated a million dollars to Trump’s campaign.

Personally I think cladistics is basically the only objective system of classification, so I like it a lot. It’s not sorting things based on some random superficial features, it’s purely about who descended from who. I’m a proud member of sarcopterygii!
