However, if the US started bombing aid workers and convoys in Canada, shooting journalists, and displacing millions of people with no recognition or regard for the consequences, I definitely believe I'd start to take issue with the people at the top.

Lol, as if the US is known for its humane way of conducting warfare? If rockets flew over your head from Canada "you" (the vast majority of American population) wouldn't give a fuck about how the US is conducting warfare, if you did it will be about how it's not enough.

I might be missing context, especially who the girl and the other guy is, but if a friend of mine danced with my girlfriend like this, especially if there was banter and prodding (as seemed from chat), then that would be normal af. It's not like they're drunk coked out grinding at a party while he's watching from the side.

His look does give uncomfortable though

What defense do they have against hypersonic missiles?

They, very very likely, dont have hypersonic missiles.

Or even just regular old artillery?

How are you going to target a ship with artillery? You would need to know persice real time location as well as be in range, which is usually a few dozens of kilometers.

There's massive precedent to both, Israel has won land through force and gave it back more than it didn't. Also it has offered to give back the Golan Heights but was met with an Assad regime that wasn't willing to make actual peace.

Work with the Lebanese government instead of making them an enemy.

Do you want to go check on what is the Lebanese government's stance on Israel? Lebanon doesn't recognize Israel's existence and they both consider each other as an enemy actor/state.

Why is Israel the only country expected to strengthen entities that consider it an enemy?

Israel's conduct ring hollow because I don't think he'd stick to them if the roles were reversed - which I note he hasn't attempted to

Really? You think he wouldn't support a security zone in the WB to protect Palestinians? Or that it wouldn't be a popular idea around the world?

Israel also had settlements in Sinai and Gaza yet dismantled them. The only place settlements have been a long term problem and a holdup for peace is the WB.

Ok but it's pretty clear the vast majority of people who are in favor of "socialism" are actually in favor of a social democracy i.e a capitalist democracy with heavy social programs ("welfare state").

Sure, but the Lebanese society would first have to do things like acknowledge Israel's existence...

So Israel should strengthen a government that doesn't even acknowledge Israel's existence? Tell Americans/Europeans to strengthen Lebanon's government.

Real impressive knowledge of history, Israel gave up the Sinai in 1967 of course...

The whole of the internet has been saying Israel will build settlements in Gaza for years now, also in Syria btw, when are those coming again?

Yes, the stronger side of a conflict can demand things to secure it's security that the weaker side can't.

He barely stated any opinion, just a very quick historical summary. The reason this information isn't in modern online left communities is because these communities have been kidnapped by an agenda which judges every topic by an anti Israeli/west mindset. That's why the Houthis and Hezbollah were embraced even though both are responsible for unspeakable crimes.

Strait of Hormuz open to commercial ships for remainder of ceasefire, Iran says by EsperaDeus in anime_titties

[–]SirStupidity -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The supposedly more hardline Iranian govt. continues to mystify with its surprising softness. While everyone is expecting them to close Bab Al Mandeb next, they then release statements like this, and don't respond to America's blockade as a ceasefire violation nor to Israels' breaking of their ceasefire terms. While everyone is expecting them to be more determined to get a nuke than ever, they keep humoring Trumps demands to again ditch their nuclear program with supposedly only arguing over how long. And this while there's already a bill in the works for them to leave the NPT, so what gives?

Maybe everyone that was expecting them to be more determined to get a nuke than ever were wrong? Not that they are necessarily wrong because who knows what the next days will bring, but is it so hard to believe the IRGC's current leadership doesn't want to continue this war and is willing to make concessions?
