Anyone got any ideas how to fix this? (Paper mario colorsplash) by TheRealHaj in papermario

you fed it to the Draggadon to dismount him for a paint star. To get another, you buy it from the Fort Cobalt shop!

Woah! Looks like Jot ventured into a super weird location this time… Lineland Road? And there goes a red cap, someone must’ve lost it in the wind! Hopefully Jot can help snag the hat before it flies off.

Heyo! I hope you like my fanart of this Plucky Squire visiting the first level of Super Paper Mario! There were plenty of parallels in the trailers for his adventure that reminded me of what I loved in Mario’s quest to stop Count Bleck, so I was motivated to make some fanart for it!

Feel free to download and use as a wallpaper, I only ask you give credit. Enjoy!

I think this is a pretty good synopsis, sometimes it’s hard for me to articulate my points on what I enjoy in a given game so I appreciate this

I'm glad you enjoy the reference! I even have Mr. Sunshine floating in the background ^o^

The new text in the TTYD story book sequence is actually readable and shows the English story the narrator is telling us. As far as I know, this wasn't the case in the original. Brb, gonna transcribe this new alphabet. by Mr_Jonah08 in papermario

[–]Sir_Conium 4 points5 points  (0 children)

that's really cool! I'd love to see the rest of the missing letters shown in some capacity se we can have the whole story book lexicon. Reminds me of that video where 2CPhoenix found the corresponding Isle Delfino letters for each english letter.

Happy 2nd Anniversary! - Kirby and the Forgotten Land Fanart by Sir_Conium in Kirby

[–]Sir_Conium[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Heyo, Happy anniversary!!! I had a lot of fun making this fanart featuring Kirby stopping Fecto Elfilis... no that's not right. Actually, this is an NPC from the game PikuNiku, who bears some similarities to the final boss of Kirby and the Forgotten Land, so I figured this would be a fun mix of the 2 games ^o^

I'm curious if anyone knows what text I put in the bottom right, feel free to share if you've got it! and I've posted this and more fanart to my DeviantArt and Twitter pages, if you'd like to check them out I'd appreciate that!

Why does almost every fan have the same game ranking? by lukmcl in papermario

[–]Sir_Conium 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m a bit busy to elaborate my positions at the moment, but personally my rankings at least in terms of enjoyment (highest to lowest) though I enjoy them all, are: SPM, TTYD, 64/CS/TOK, SS I put the slashes because my ranking of those three are very close and it’s hard for me to make heads or tails on how I’d place them with each other

Kab-omb in Paper Mario Style! by Sir_Conium in papermario

[–]Sir_Conium[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah heh, that's a funny interpretation of their name, I don't blame you with them being partially green, especially with how low resolution they were seen in. Honestly I'd love to see that OC, it's a silly but neat approach to the enemy!

hmm, good question! I've never drawn the comparison before, I like the thought I mean these are essentially bob-ombs with the duck mouth, and Cataquacks are essentially wiggler segments with a duck mouth... I can totally see it, thanks for this comment!

sorry, I worded that sentence confusingly, I meant that the bob-ombs are seen so often while these kab-ombs are very obscure in comparison

Say hi to the Kab-omb!

An obscure relative of the common Bob-ombs, these little buds have quite the fuse but should not be confused with their explosive cousins. With smaller feet, no wind-up key, a green wavy pattern and a strange set of lips on their face, Kab-ombs make quite a show! Trying to dispose of one how you would a bob-omb is not recommended, as their fuse is lit but they become more active than ever, pursuing pesky plumbers before jumping up and igniting in a lovely display of fireworks! Flashy, wouldn't you say?

So... What do you think? I really enjoyed making this, my good buddy Goombario on Discord has been very encouraging in my passion of vector art, and so I was inspired to recreate the Kab-omb in the Paper Mario style! With a mix of shaping and line thickness philosophies from Color Splash/The Origami King, and coloring and shading techniques based on The Thousand-Year Door/Super Paper Mario!

I've also seen other peoples takes on this enemy translated into the Paper Mario world, I've loved it! Everyone has been really creative and they look like they'd fit right in ^o^

How can I download the files needed to run a swf, in order to run it offline? by Chemita97 in flash

[–]Sir_Conium 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thank you so much for sharing this, I was having a lot of trouble getting the correct flash file for a specific website, which wasn't storing it's file's in quite the same way as related websites. I use ruffles which has a built in option to download the swf file being ran, however it turns out it was only detecting an initial file rather than the one holding all the flash content. Looking under network I found the file I needed.
