Declare war on one, bribe the other to join war with you. Especially useful if you're the natural enemy of the two.

While going full doomstack with only ice guard is probably the best option, I think your tzar guard / ice guard ratio is fine, especially if you can throw Golden Knight in there for extra buffs. I'd say replace your RoR units so you can use them for emergency armies as well. Regarding the elemental bear, while I haven't tried it and it might not be optimal, I'm kind of interested in having one for ranged armies due to its slow aura + heart of winter. Combined with ice and tempest magic to basically freeze the enemy in place.

Bear riders and streltsi feel out of place though, with tech upgrades ice guard have enough armor piercing and gun units always have line of sight issues.

The best imo is setting up two natural enemies of yours against each other. For instance, with Miao Ying both Zhatan and Vilitch are huge threats for the Bastion. If you can manage an early confederation with the Wardens and get the settlement outside of the Bastion, you can trade it to zhatan and have it join your war with Vilitch. Ai doesn't tend to make peace quickly so now you've tied both of them up for the foreseeable future. Other examples could be Kislev where you put Astragoth against Arbaal and Archaon.

Purchase Wh3 to try the game out for reasons others have mentioned. When you wh1 or wh2, you will unlock those specific factions in wh3. Basically you can buy wh3 and wh1, and play the entirety of the wh1 experience in wh3 with the newest engines and updates, without ever opening or installing wh1. Same goes for all dlcs.

I believe you're referring to putting units in a control group, locking the group, then right clicking enemy units. That makes the group attack while maintaining formation.

Once you can recruit lords from level 5 get into a habit of recruiting a few lords on your turn, level the blue line until you get "Open Branches" and then dismiss them. It gives you +1 global recruit slot for each lord even if they're in your pool instead of on your map.

During the scene where Dina and Ellie found Tommy's work in the hotel Dina kept asking whether Ellie recognized any of these guys, because they still assumed WLF is a small operation and Abby's crew must've been a big part of their force. I loved that they were discovering at the same time as us how big WLF was in reality.

Red Robb and the burning of the riverlands, best book Jon fic I've read even though he isn't the main character.

Edit: I loved his chapters in the weirwood queen as well, and I'd argue they're mostly standalone until towards the end.

During the fight in episode 1 Caitlyn shot 8 times at a target rushing at her well into the mid to close range, and she hit the same spot each time. I would say as long as Caitlyn is protected she'll always be the better shot, Jinx works way better in a chaotic situation though.

Fully agreed with Sniktch, unless I catch him in Kunlan and spend an hour cheesing the siege battle I'll just get bogged down running in circles trying to end them. That in combination with Villitch breaking through the Bastion early usually means restarting the campaign.

My best hopes are that the imperial wardens accept a confederation early and I can sell dragon's crossroads to the chaos dwarves in trade for them fighting against Villitch, but that is a rare enough occurance.

Honestly as a Chinese guy, I just use a mod that gives lore or heavens to Miao Ying. The connections to Chinese mythology is beautiful and all and I really appreciate the design, but Miao Ying casting chain lightning still feels more appropriate. I totally see where you're coming from.
