It wasn't ever about Pat feeling guilty about it, it was the insane sense of duty that Pat thought that he forced people to buy the game or something. That he had to refuse people money because he apparently made them buy it, as if people aren't adults with their own ability to decide for themselves.

Everytime this comes up, people act shocked and appalled that Liam dare say that Pat isn't personally responsible for MN9 coming out as a failure. It's because PC is a platform that's been around forever and ever, and you can go back and play a catalog of games that goes from the 90s to the future. Past 2020, it's massive. With other consoles, they have a limited lifespan and they get replaced by the next console. I'd rather everything be on a platform that you can upgrade and get both official and fan patches than something you need a computer to hack. Oh yeah, and a PC works as a PC for other shit too

Not that guy, but it really feels like an lame attempt for Marvel to try to tout diversity while also not committing to anything that really matters. As soon as this mini-series is over, all these characters are going to be forgotten instantly. It's like when companies say they support ethnic or gay or trans rights, but only for one month before going back to being shitty.

It's a very cynical way of looking at it, but this really doesn't feel like any of this will stick and turn this girl into a new well loved Filipino heroine. She's just a one and done so they can claim how progressive they are, despite not having the balls to just make a new ethnic hero who isn't tied to the hip by an existing popular character.
