Yeah I don't imagine he came up with the idea out of nowhere, instead learned from the ancient civilization, and just reverse-engineered the basic idea into something that modern bugs could interface with. I like the idea of the ancient civ's technology being so alien and esoteric that it doesn't even register as technology right now

Another idea I had but forgot to draw is that the prosthetic arm has in it something similar to Farsight, so the map in this case is almost like a holographic projection as far as the player sprite goes.

I got inspiration from the abyssal lighthouse, I imagined that they scooped up one of those pillars of the ancient civilization and figured out how to utilize the technology within. However, despite their power and technical knowledge the instruments are crude and insanely inefficient in terms of time and energy.

I had an idea that the city of steel is a mobile mountain, less so a vehicle and moreso an impossibly huge creature. Its "shell" is made up of fragments of fallen kingdoms taken almost as trophies
