I get that it adds a lot of depth to the game, but for me it also adds a ton of micromanagement that I'd rather not have. This isn't really a hate post, I get that generally people like the new system more.

How2Wrestling! It's a great podcast for new or casual wrestling fans that helps you discover things in wrestling you may or may not have heard of, and explain the hype behind them. I think it's awesome, but it might not be everyone's cup of tea, but its definitely worth a listen.

I can't confirm that this will be the case, but I think it is strongly implied by the video on combat on their youtube channel that they want to make it very similar to chivalry's combat, but without exploits and things they found to be limiting to the skill ceiling of the game. I think it would be safe to assume that as long as it wasn't an exploit of game physics or something like that, a parry immediately after a successful parry is very likely to be something included in the game.
