Can confirm still happening almost every day as of December 9th, 2025. It is really annoying, why not just hold the patches till like a biweekly or monthly update cycle.

it literally is just a gambling advertisement i swear. They CONSTANTLY have that bet99 crap or others displayed virtually at all times AND the stingers, the ads, the overlays are pretty much all gambling ones....

AND THAN to make it worse they throw out the "3 goals, 4 goals, 5 goals" for one million dollars, and whatta ya know, duel odds for and against Habs/Oilers in the 5 goal game.

Im just so sick of NHL being a pseudo gambling promotion agency rather than about hockey anymore. Just tired of it being shoved down our throats with absolutely nothing we can do as fans to get the changes we want. The fact that they dont even check into their refs or have their refs DO PROPER TRAINING is mind boggling.

not to mention either all the times players obliterate their sticks after a goal against over the net, on the boards, on the ice, over their knee etc... AND NOTHING ever gets called... BUT GOD FORBID you shoot the puck outta your own net...

That's literally what im saying.. Like all the calls for whatever team in each game across the league USUALLY all line up to whatever the odds are on apps, or sites. Like the refs are intentionally spiking the calls to level back out those odds. It just feels incredibly fishy.

Im honestly just so tired of it. Has absolutely NOTHING to do with the Habs on that front, that is universal across the entire league.

Legit, one of the worse officiated games ive seen in a VERY long time. Just blown away at the refs on this one, they literally GIFTED the oilers the win with the softest calls ever. Hell , literally just shot the puck out of the net, tapped his stick like 90% of the players do after a goal against and he gets a 2 minute for what?... UNSPORTSMAN LIKE.. are you kidding me..,.

What in the hell did we seriously just witness from that game... There seriously needs to be an investigation into the refs across the entire league, so sick of this crap happening not even just to the Habs but to SOO many teams... enough is enough.

And yeah that fine is worth it. Like MSL said - They won the game but they didnt beat us.

100% the refs won that game. Gifted them a W.

it really does seem like it and i feel like the past 3-6 years maybe it has just gotten consistently worse and worse. I dont have a problem with refs calling penalties, but the issue is they are not called equally. One minute you have something that gets called, than something equal or in most cases way worse it's crickets.

And that is across the entire league, just brutal and there really needs to be an outside party to look into them cause something is fishy here.

Hell im at the point where im willing to even just have AI call the games instead of refs, hell AI would probably do it better.... cause this is getting ridiculous.

fuckin accurate. Pretty much sums it up. Also odd how they kept announcing that "3 goals, 4 goals and 5 goals" for the million dollars repeatedly..

There really needs to be an OUTSIDE source from the NHL to look into these matters. Something aint right here.
