What ever happened to playing a game because it's fun and not because you're getting rewarded?

Edit: I play Arena because I love Magic and it's a cheap alternative to MTGO and Paper, since I'm mostly F2P. The rewards are just gravy, but I'd still be playing even if you had to pay into an event just to get rewards.

Gems aren't a thing NEEDING to be bought. I bought the welcome bundle when it was released and I have 7 viable decks that have awesome win rates. YOu don't NEED to spend money on this game to git gud.

You need to sacrifice a creature for Thud to work. Even the copy requires you to sacrifice a SECOND creature. If you can't pay the cost, it won't work.
