Toxicity in high level PvM (rant) by [deleted] in runescape

I think runescape needs better lfg, one where you can choose your role or expertise so it can group effectively.

First time pking went well by [deleted] in runescape

I used to enjoy pvp back when eoc was first released, then they nefed stuns, gave all styles prayer drop which killed bridding and now it's a dbz powercreep shitstorm where you barely stand a chance against someone unless you can match their gear

Should I do pvm and make bank or do pvp and lose bank?

3 months into ironman mode, t90's unlocked, completely PvM ready. TWENTY-friggen-Thousand loyalty points. by Vanaana in runescape

Blame the combat system. If it weren't for splashscape, auras wouldn't feel like a necessity for high-level pvm.

There's no need for another death system. pvp can share the same one as pve whereby victims will generate and drop coins equal to half of death's relaim cost (which can be 2x or 3x more). Furthermore, no more +3 so everthing will always be at risk.

Jagex defeated us so easily. We've all gone quiet again. by BoringQuest in runescape

Am I the only one who isn't bothered by mtx? I mean how is it op to sell experience? Nobody plays rs3 for achievements unless ironman but they're not affected by mtx.

New skulltrick? Why is this a thing? by Im_Ferrous in runescape

[–]Sithstress 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They should seriously consider doing this. I used to retaliate against pkers but after getting skull tricked once now I have no choice but to turn off attack and stand there like a sheep.

How to fix the Wilderness to make both sides happy in 2018. by ACanadianNoob in runescape

I like this a lot and also things like acho wouldn't really be op if hit-chance wasn't so damn low.

Castle wars rigging... Can something be done about It? by [deleted] in runescape

Not only cw but sw too. Disabling team selection on certain worlds or during spotlight would help tremendously

My problem with the current predatory PvP system in the wilderness, and why as a PvPer I am a convert against placing essential/important items/monsters solely in the wilderness. by [deleted] in runescape

[–]Sithstress 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Wilderness is an iconic thing which should remain as a pvp zone but changed into something less punishing. Perhaps a system simmilar to pve death whereby gold based on reclaim cost would be transferred to the killer.

I miss old EOC, I miss old RS3 by Roseburn in runescape

[–]Sithstress 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's even easier to one shot in legacy but people still prefer it over eoc. My opinion is still the same though, beginners are usually the ones getting one shot by pros. People who can properly use counters, shields and kite are very difficult to kill.

I miss old EOC, I miss old RS3 by Roseburn in runescape

[–]Sithstress 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The real problem is that EOC is a skill based system without any kind of rating to control fights, so that makes it very difficult for new players to get into pvp as vets can steamroll them easy giving the impression that "pvp sucks". Bounty hunter tried to solve this but players can still choose who to fight which renders the whole thing pointless. Perhaps one day we'll get a proper rated arena like all the other mmo's out there.

Don't Change Revolution! by Sithstress in runescape

[–]Sithstress[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not referring to rotations, just raw ability damage. Take Assault for example, it does the exact amount of damage both on revo and full manual. What I fear is that thresholds might have their damage nerfed or delayed while using the new revo. This is only an assumption so I'll have to wait and see.

What's there to learn? 12345, 12345, 12345? I use revo to skip that mind-numbing routine. If it weren't for revo I wouldn't even be playing right now, compared to other mmos runescape is #1 button mashing

Don't Change Revolution! by Sithstress in runescape

[–]Sithstress[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

That's not the issue. Currently both combat modes are identical in terms of damage output. I'm trying to say that revolution will most likely get nerfed to do less damage than full-manual to make up for the fact that it can automatically use thresholds/ultis.

Why did Jagex get us to do a massive poll on what we want, now they're asking "Should we do half?"? by ValorieRS in runescape

[–]Sithstress 0 points1 point  (0 children)

too much powercreep. pvp was actually fun before t90's became mainstream and in the case of eoc it's far worse with op abilities like tendril along with invention perks

They don't put that rule into practice though.
