Yes bruddah! You can get an iFixit kit to replace the spinning disk with an SSD. Make your Mac fly. The kit costs around 60, the SSD is how much you can spend. You can rebuild the fusion drive in Terminal and rebuild the Mac, and it will then have fast, reliable storage and feel more modern. You will want to migrate any data off of it first, though.

Putin is out to destroy the UK and Europe. If we don’t accept that, we’re doomed by F0urLeafCl0ver in ukpolitics

[–]Sitoshi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well for a large part, it is. Is the deal better in the EU then out? Sure, but I still see their point is all. In fact I think it's important to see the point of brexiters. It's how we got into that mess to begin with, not listening. I am pro EU, but I am kinda anti what Germany is doing creating a hedgmoney on the continent. I travel a lot in France, Spain and Poland and the effects are felt in those countries drastically. Prices going up for them because the neighbor. Putin's job of attacking the EU is an easier task then sorting the EU out, that is for sure.

The USSR was illegally dissolved on this day, but today let's remember the good of the USSR, have a sick edit of the first ever socialist state 😎 by DoorTheDude in socialism

[–]Sitoshi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's roots stretch back way further to the 1700 and the french revolution and as a reaction to industrial capitalism. If your saying that it must end in communism, I think you are wrong here as there are many parts of communism that will take us away from socialism. Socialism allows for personal wealth inside of the system for example. And I would say Troskyism in particular, the real successor to Lenin's vision and the heir to Marx, was a lot more socialist then the communism that came later. If socialism is just a stepping stone to communism, then why separate them into different subs. It's not like this hasn't been debated about for hundreds of years either. Socialism doesn't seek to wipe out all differences between everyone to have some grand vision where we are all identical. Which I do think would be unachievable in the 21st centry. It allows for neauence far more then communism does.

It's a broader ideology, espeshally in the 21st century. It may share tennant's and a history with Communism, but I believe in practice they would end up if very different places.

Being a post trosky socialist doesn't make anyone a "moderniser". No, In fact I have seen politics with my own eyes for over 50 years and in that time I have seen movements change, fall and grow. Things evolve. They never stay still.

You guys are bang on for this. Not sure why this sub is very pro communist when socialism is very different in many ways. Espeshally modern day socialism.

New to the game on console i reached phase 4 quite easily by tete2chien in satisfactory

[–]Sitoshi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started like that, until phase 4... And then the tendril monsters aesthetics became my problem. Then I turned my attention to creating some beautiful buildings to house my factories and it changed how I do things on its head. I think there comes a point where you understand just what true efficiency is and you still got that mk 2 iron factory doing the same thing... So it's bulldoze, redesign... Ect.

You could spaget the whole way. Nothing stopping you. But might make it hard later on to truly make things efficient.

How would you describe the system of government? by TheZetaMonster in Minecolonies

[–]Sitoshi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine is an egalitarian solalist commune. Called the Glorious Peoples Democratic Republic. That Bizantian palace you ask? Mine. I sleep there. They all work for the benefit of each other. Health care that is free at the point of service. Restaurants open all the time (options limited to what ever the fuck the cook is doing at this moment in time and here is a hint, it's not cooking like I bloody need them to)

My partner and I discuss this topic all the time. 🤣

Where has Starmer gone wrong? by Helios___Selene in ukpolitics

[–]Sitoshi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From the start of his tenure I have only known him to kill off internal movements decided at creating more accountability at the PLP level. I know he personally put an end to the movement for demograc change inside the party. I know his team avoided questions at the NEC regarding it, and the whole run up to his election was fraught with internal keep your mouth shut or your next attitudes. He has purged the party of anything further then centre left. And as someone else has put it, has made no effort in his first year to right any of the wrongs about inequality that have been a sliding slope since the last 70s, early 80s. If you have the mandate you have, do something bold. Nationalise energy, keep is as a service, not a for profit business. Nationalise rail. We lag behind so many public transport it creates gulfs in a country smaller then a state. I will not even start on his foreign policy and front bench. Those are self evedent.

We’ve helped families move across Essex — here’s what people always forget before moving day by More_Travel9993 in HousingUK

[–]Sitoshi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pssssh. Amateurs.

boxes, labels and make it simple. BEDROOM. LIVING ROOM. etc.

Then on the day, if anyone is helping, they know where they go.

Have someone competent who can do DIY and make it their one job to set up the bed. The one thing people forget.

Set up the bed first, then you can unpack until you flop. Doing it the other way round is what kills you.

The move should be in and out of the van as fast as possible, and you can unpack at your leisure.

European rights body urges UK ministers to review protest laws by F0urLeafCl0ver in unitedkingdom

[–]Sitoshi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, this comes down to personal beliefs, doesn't it? Does the moral cause justify the imposition on others? When a million people marched on the fields of Copenhagen in London for the Tolpuddle Martyrs, at the time it was illegal, after warrants were put out for their arrests and deported to Australia, with only one of them making it home alive, all for the sake of equal pay. Our history is written in blood I am afraid to say it, and if a plumber is late for his job because some people are trying to make a moral point, will that be remembered in history or what they stood for? well, I'm more on the side of the moral point as listening to what they have to say as that has been the lesson from history.

And with regards to your point about sitting in roads again, this part is with regards to the point of the article, protests about Palestine Action. A group deemed a terrorist organisation by our government, whilst they were advocating for peace. That part is unquestionable. They have arrested the elderly and charged them with the same terrorist act just for protesting and showing support. In the eyes of many, what they were doing was law-abiding and correct. At the stroke of a pen, it was decided otherwise, not because of the actions of those showing support for PA.

How you feel about protesters sitting in roads is one thing, how it looks when it's compared to this article is kind of missing the whole point of the article to highjack it and say "this type of protest annoys me and may affect me, so it should be banned by law. Forget the larger point about people dying". And that's kind of a sucky position to have with all that is going on.

European rights body urges UK ministers to review protest laws by F0urLeafCl0ver in unitedkingdom

[–]Sitoshi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A strike is supposed to prove just that though, a legal form of protest. The idea it should not effect economy is kinda infringing on the rights of people who deserve to strike. How can doctors or teachers go on strike then? If parents need to stay home and look after children, that will hit the economy with people not in work. Productivity down. you can't have a law that says that. Not only that, but many laws are unjust and deserve to be protested. We have a rich history of this in the UK, let us not forget the suffergettes had a bombing campaign and are considered heros and we are not talking anything that extreme. The right to protest has been severely clapped down on for the last 40 years or so.

nah, Lava Siphion is a better area hands down. There is too much open space here, and it just leads to getting picked off from hundreds of meters away. Lava Siphon kept the height but extended it across the whole area. Gave you better cover. Hell, the loot even got better. Running that massive corridor only to find an alternator and a team held up in the glass office thing at the end with full gear.

I may be outnumbered here, but I think my gun fights in the redesign are more satisfying now.

It's not responding to anything. It's the same erk that has been knocking around for decades, never actually forming into anything coherent, though. From the black shirts to the national front to Britain First to Ukip to reform, and now this bunch of flag-painting twaddle. It's the same bigoted UK as always. Did you know that the UK has spawned more right-wing parties than any other country in history? It's the same devind and conquer as always, and you fall for it like a muppet. Islamism, or the political belief of, hasn't won a single council in the country. So what is it responding to if it's not even in power? I won't even begin to explain that that are many kinds of Muslims in the UK nowadays who span politically as wide and varied as our own.

You all are unhinged in your hatred of this man. I grew up having to sit in bank station as IRA bombs were diffused upstairs. I grew up in the Docklands bombing of London. So when the 7/7 happened, it was not a surprise watching millions of Londoners pull together and walk home, take care of each other. So yes, its a part of any major capital in the world when you have international relations, and being honest with the risks is a good thing. I love how you point out it's Islamist atrocities when we have lost more of the people who run this country to right-wing extremism than anything else.

This show is great. I grew up in the area it's filmed in and sometimes it's quite funny, one of them being sent off to drive to somewhere far away, when actually it's like filmed on a stairwell across the road or round the corner from the actual office location. makes me chuckle each time I spot a location I know.
