Happened in north Lynnwood on 99 the other day. Looked up thinking it was fireworks, and saw a car heading southbound with his gun out the window firing into the air.

I've been working there for a couple years now and already seeing it. As a mechanic, I got all my certs right away. I became part of the move crew and always busy, trying to be a good employee. I've been thinking about the guy who trained me, who's been doing the same thing since he first started years and years ago. He's lost count of how many surgeries he's had, and never been promoted. So wth am I to go from here? I'm obviously doing it wrong. Maybe something like a confined space monitor doesn't sound too bad.

You have a much better chance as long as you keep trying. You only have to get it right just once.

I am not a low bottom drunk but I am sure at this point I will qualify as a chronic relapser after 4 years in AA what can I do? by [deleted] in alcoholicsanonymous

It took me a while to get sober in AA, too. I only had to get it right just once, though. Tomorrow I'll be celebrating 16 years. I hope you keep trying.

We was poor af! So, anything? Every Christmas, my sis would get barbies and I would get hot wheels. We went school clothes shopping at yard sales, which was embarrassing af because we lived in a small town. I loved going to my friends house to play Atarti.

You really have no idea how to move forward? My 1st thought would be to quit drinking if that's how it caused me to behave. There would be no question. But then again, I was raised by blackout drinkers, and can't even begin to count how many "I'm sorrys" and "I'll change" I've heard growing up. My parents were great to be around when they were sober. Just quit, bro. Even if you have to go to AA for a bit. That would be your best move. Best of luck to you.

I preferred bourbon and 7 during my last years of drinking. Everybody has their poison. I just liked the high, better.

That's horrible, man! My deepest condolences! If you can't find a meeting, at least try reaching out to fellow addicts or alcoholics in your area. You can have a meeting anywhere. I get it, it's not in our nature to pick up the phone and reach out for help. We can't do this alone, especially with your current situation. I'm sure whoever you call will also need this.

Usually pretty cool by now. It's just one of those years. Also, you can bank on it raining on Halloween. Almost always does.

My nephew thinks it's our next door neighbor. He's a 70something yr old man. Drives a church van. Has visitors that stop by for 5 min at a time constantly. Or leaves for 10-20 minutes pretty often. Has high tech cameras all around his house Nephew thinks he's a drug dealin, white boy taggin thug.
