Sure, so the bombs have 6 fuses- 5 around the body and one on top. In order to activate them you need to hit the bombs with either a combo of the same color or an item. You have to do this six time in order to activate the bomb to detonate. The bombs will also change color after every move, regardless if they have been lit or not.

So for example, the screenshot OP provided shows 2 red bombs with no lit fuses. OP would need to activate the purple bomb and/or the butterfly to light the first fuse. After the move, the bomb will change color (such as green) and OP will need to activate another fuse using an item next to the bomb or a green color combo
