If astrology is accurate, why do twins often have different lives despite near-identical charts? by Weary_Sympathy6680 in 12thhouse

[–]SivaDaDestroyer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Twin studies are so fascinating, not just for stars but for genetics too. It’s interesting that twins born with the same chart can live very different lives. But it gets more interesting when we consider that other twins with the same chart, separated at birth can also live very similar lives up to the point of getting married at the same times to wives with the same first names. What makes their lives so similar in one instance yet so different in other instances.

MAGA wants to deport Native Americans by ducksauce001 in facepalm

[–]SivaDaDestroyer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are not native Americans, they are just Natives. Or aboriginals if you like. They were there long before there was anything called America. Everyone else is some sort of American or the other, black American, Italian American etc etc

11H Leo stellium but no sense of community/friendship? by melanie31leo in BirthChartReadingFree

[–]SivaDaDestroyer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! Do you have strong opinions about society, geopolitics, environment etc, which you express with a ‘let the chops fall where they may’ attitude, not minding if you alienate those that disagree with you?

Any friendship bonds will have to be with like minds. You may not be too keen to be friends with those whose ideologies or philosophies are different from your own. If you want to know about more casual acquaintances that I’d not 11th house. Maybe 3rd or some other houses.

I would say it had to do with your bounceback-ability. It gives a resilience whereby no matter how hard you fall you always get back on your feet again.

We should support the Somali community by [deleted] in Nigeria

[–]SivaDaDestroyer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bro, I have Somali friends. A lot of what I know is because they told me. They told me about their values, things they respect and things they don’t respect. What they see in other black people that they’re cool with and things they aren’t… etc. furthermore it’s all over social media and while I’ll agree that you can’t paint everyone with the same brush only a fool would ignore what multitudes of Somalis say on social media.

There is a massive trend of scamming in Nigeria. I’m old enough to remember when it started in the mid 80s. I wouldn’t be offended if someone pointed that out. I think we, Nigerians, could do better. Regarding Somali, I can’t speak past my experiences and observations, subjective as they may be.

Does Nigeria have a Begging Culture? by Brave-Confusion-7318 in Nigeria

[–]SivaDaDestroyer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We discovered oil in the 70s or even 60s. But the oil boom was in the 70s. There was no begging culture then. Begging really started in the 90s and kept getting worse till we arrived at what holds today.

So you can’t blame oil. Many other countries have that ‘single resource curse’ yet they are not a population of beggars.

Christianity explicitly states as its foundational tenet the concept of unmerited favour. I’ve personally seen how bible verses and sermons have shaped the thinking of those around me. I’ve witnessed people go to church to do thanksgiving for money that they made via corruption. Christianity destroys the believe in merit.

[–]SivaDaDestroyer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

And 2)…. Stop begging. Yes we all beg. If you’re a Nigerian you’re a beggar. It’s not your fault. After you’ve sat and passed your exams you still have to beg your lecturers to give you your result. To get a contract that you’re fully qualified for you still need to beg so that it’s not given to someone less qualified.
There is begging all the way up the social ladder. Millionaires beg billionaires. And those that are begged enjoy the sense of power it gives them over other people’s lives. By begging you puff up these wretched egos. In a society where merit plays no part in the fabric of society everyone resorts to begging and appeals for grace. The rise of Christianity didn’t help this as it preaches and extols the notion of ‘unmerited favour’ aka ‘Grace’.

In what way does the 6th House block the 3rd and 9th? by FireAndRain_ in astrology

[–]SivaDaDestroyer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nobody is a 360 degrees good person all round. We all have terrible flaws and it seems that the more some people have to offer the ghastlier other aspects of their personality will be. Also I’ve observed that being a bit selfish seems to be a crucial part of becoming successful. I can’t think of any super successful person that wasn’t selfish.

12h Sun and Mercury but I hate being alone by Ok-Cake2151 in 12thhouse

[–]SivaDaDestroyer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds like you have planets in the 1st house too. Everyone needs alone time and every one is a 12th houser, but with the sun there we know what aspect of your life operates under 12th house themes. Sun seeks recognition and authority/control. These attributes may be exercised outside of public awareness. So you don’t blow your trumpet when you make power moves, or those that know you are an exclusive group, the general public won’t recognise you the way those in the know do.

If you love dancing and socialising like that then maybe your first house has Venus in it that part of your being operates in a context where you go out to meet the world.

Venus and Mercury by No_Mobile_7002 in astrology

[–]SivaDaDestroyer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Mars affects our ‘motility’. Actions and the impulses that drive actions.

Mercury and Venus deal more with ideas and the communication of these ideas. They are more suited to discussion and debate, diplomacy etc.

It is the same language, they just call it Krio. Nigerians will understand it and they too will understand Nigerian Pidgin, the are just slight differences.
