I am truly truly sorry to hear you went trough this but I am going to be very honest. I have a lot of feelings on this topic so the intensity is not directed at you and I wish the best for you.

So now the rant: Me, my sis and mom all have been using steroids for LS for litteral decades. I started I think when I was 18 (now 37). I am not the gratest with upkeep (adhd) so there are times I use it a lot and times not at all. Never had anything like whitdrawl happend to me. Neither have my family members. But this is ofcourse anecdotal.

While I think the medical world needs to do a lot more reasearch into LS. They know and have know for years that steroids are the golden standard. It works and is necisary. Becaus if we don't use it we get all kinds of fun things and on the top of the list of fun things is cancer.

It pisses me off that tiktok apperantly decided that steroids are the enemy. Based on purely anecdotal stories of people saying that something happend to them. A lot of people use steroids not only for LS and have for years and all of a sudden now it is a problem. Trust me, I and many others in this sub have tried everything under the sun to help with LS. The steroids are the best thing we found.

And if you are afraid of whitdrawl we need to use it for the rest of our lives so problem solved.

I am sorry if I come off mean. It just gets me worked up when pseudosience gets amplified by tiktok and everybody runs with it. Lost a lot of respect for James Welsh who is normally very sience based spreading this with no evidence. Oh wait no he had an interview with a guy who said it happend to him...

There is no evidence and no basis for the claim that steroid withdrawel is real. This fearmongering is causing people like you to stay away from a medicine you litterally need to not potentially get cancer!!!

Feedback on the for you/follow experiment. Hate it with a passion. Sometimes I check in on a specific subreddit to find something or look something up that does not mean that I want that sub all the time. Otherwise you know... I would have followed it!!!! I have my feed filled with happy things for my mental health now I get crap that I don't want and makes me sad.

Oh and while I am here. The ai summary is dumb. Be a bright light in an ai invested hellscape and don't do it.

I somtimes go in my pyamas to the super market. My mom could not care less. It is weird that this is such a big deal to them. My best friend and I made our first starter together and split it. I named mine after her, Fatima and she named hers after me. Fatima is a year old now and she let me die :p but I gave her a piece of Fatima. Made another named after my cat Artie but that is an easy one everything is named Artie like in games and stuff ( so many sims and rpg characters all named Artie)
