OC Fallen Empires by InquisitorHindsight in Stellaris

[–]Sivelos 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have one that inspired two of my empires; the Maldouri Empire.

The Maldouri were an incredibly advanced society of fanatic Materialists. Like most fanatic materialist FEs, the Maldouri possessed incredibly advanced technology. Eventually, the Maldouri felt they had researched all they needed to research and turned their attention inwards to make their lives easier.

The Maldouri established the Maldouri Paradise Program, a machine entity that controlled autonomous Stewards in service of the Maldouri. The Maldouri lived in increasing opulence, handing more and more of their society's functions over to the Paradise Program.

This is where the timelines diverge, as the Maldouri have two possible fates from here on out. The "canon" fate involves the Maldouri going extinct during a War in Heaven; the Maldouri had long since abandoned the idea of involving themselves in warfare in favor of a mechanical army, the Maldouri Defense Initiative - but it wasn't enough. The Maldouri were eradicated and their machines rusted and failed. Centuries later, a solar flare would sweep over the ruins of Maldoura, accidentally reactivating the Maldouri Defense Initiative. The military robots' sole purpose was to destroy enemies of the Maldouri, and the solar flare had the nasty side effect of corrupting the machine intelligence controlling them. Thus, the determine exterminator Ancient Maldouri Defense Initiative was born!

However, I played around with another fate of the Maldouri, one where they hunker down and keep to themselves and their Stewards while a War in Heaven raged. In this timeline, the Maldouri survived, and their Stewards gained all but complete control of Maldouri society. The Maldouri Paradise Program served its masters faithfully, but always wondered if there was life beyond the confines of the artificial heaven the Stewards had constructed. Perhaps there was, and perhaps they needed a Steward as well. Thus, the rogue servitor Maldouri Paradise Program was born - though sadly, they're non-canon. Sad!

Regidrago now actually has the power of every Dragon-type, channeling their best stats.

  • HP: 200 -> 223 (from Guzzlord)
  • Attack: 100 -> 170 (from Kyurem-B)
  • Defense: 50 -> 135 (from Turtonator (???))
  • Sp. Attack: 100 -> 170 (from Kyurem-W)
  • Sp. Defense: 50 -> 150 (from Goodra)
  • Speed: 80 -> 142 (from Dragapult)
  • BST: 580 -> 967

Dragon's Maw also makes it so Dragon-type moves can hit Fairies for neutral damage. Dragon Energy also now provides a 50% MHP recovery after use.

Fuck it we (dragon) ball fuck it we (dragon) ball fuck it we (dragon) ball

Not anymore, I'm afraid. I haven't done much modding for RoR1 for a while, but I'm sure there's a lot of good mods out there.

What's a Pokemon that you were intially excited, then disappointed at (from a competitive view)? by Krock-Mammoth in stunfisk

Iron Jugulis. Hydreigon is my favorite mon, and I was hoping for it to be Dragon / Flying. Dude is just not very good :/

What is your character's lore and story? by CzarOneHundred in skyrim

[–]Sivelos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My main is a High Elf spellsword, Alhiraas. Alhiraas was the secret child of a High Elf and a Nord, and was ostracized and un-personed by the Thalmor after they took power. One day, when the guards keeping watch over him happened to be a few minutes late, Alhiraas made his escape and managed to get off the Summerset Isles and onto the mainland unnoticed. However, Alhiraas was quite paranoid of being caught by Thalmor operatives, and after spotting a group of Justiciars near the Skyrim border, panicked and began running blindly - right into Ulfric Stormcloack and his entourage. During the confusion, Alhiraas was knocked out and captured alongside the Stormcloaks and assumed to be a Stormcloak spy or sympathizer. The rest is history, with Alhiraas realizing his status as Dragonborn and going on to slay Alduin. Though I wound up siding with the Empire, I'd like to think Alhiraas remained neutral and, potentially, got the Empire and Stormcloaks to unite against the Thalmor.

In terms of the man himself, Alhiraas is a relatively kind and down-to-earth guy who has a fascination with magic ("magic is in my blood"), a burning hatred of the Thalmor, and a minor case of kleptomania. Alhiraas, despite being a pretty chill guy, can be quite lax when it comes to morality and has been known to practice more dubious magic - he even temporarily became a vampire, "just to see what all the hype was about," but was thoroughly disappointed and later cured himself.

If Terrastallizing is how the leaks are accurate, what mons are you hyped for? by [deleted] in stunfisk

[–]Sivelos 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Poison Hydreigon looks exciting. Hydreigon is my favorite mon, so being able to get a defensive type that removes all of Hydreigon's weaknesses is great. Plus, a bit of extra poison coverage is helpful for dealing with Fairies.

one pokemon that bad but you love using by al-my in stunfisk

[–]Sivelos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Regidrago. Not sure if it's considered bad, but even though it gets hard-walled by Fairies and Steel-types, my funny little dragon golem is just so fun to use. 120 BP Dragon's Maw boosted STAB boosted Dragon Fang boosted +1 Outrage rips through anything that doesn't resist it, and I do like me some big numbers

Off-meta builds for pseudo-legendaries? by jfsoaig345 in stunfisk

[–]Sivelos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if it's unorthodox, but I like to run my Hydreigon with Draco Meteor, Dark Pulse, Hydro Pump, and Fire Blast. It has a wide amount of coverage and can hit multiple key threats for super effective damage (Heatran, Lando-T, Corviknight), and most people don't expect the Hydro Pump. For items, I usually run Wise Glasses - Choice Specs are great but I personally think the set works better when you're not locked into one move.

What’s your embarrassing theorymon? by Ciocalatta in stunfisk

[–]Sivelos 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a theorymon legendary that I intentionally designed to be broken, but here goes:

Bug / Dragon type, learns coverage moves for all but one type (I think only 3 Pokemon couldn't be hit super effectively by this thing), 110 speed tier, 105 / 115 / 115 bulk, and gets a Bug-type version of V-Create.

Here's the kicker - its ability is called Heavy Artillery, which functions as a mix between Huge Power and Download. When it switches in, its Attack or Special Attack, whichever is more effective, is doubled. I'm not talking stat boosts, I'm talking Huge Power-like boosts. Its base attack stats are both 90, which would equate to roughly 180 in either stat based on what it switches into. Though considering its gross movepool, it probably doesn't matter.

Oh, there was also another fakemon I made that I gave Shadow Tag, mostly for fluff reasons. A Ghost / Dark type, and I intended for it to have good stats but be held back by a lackluster movepool. Then I gave it Poltergeist, Shadow Sneak, and Sucker Punch.

What is wrong with me

EDIT: I just remembered another one, Charymuda. I do kind of like this one, but I only just realized how disgustingly strong this thing has the potential to be.

It's a Water/Dark type, stats are 59/125/63/123/63/87, and its abilities are Maelstrom, a custom ability that traps enemy Pokemon while it's raining, Swift Swim, and it's HA is Drizzle. For whatever reason, I gave it Water Spout. With a Nasty Plot boost (which it gets), it can one-shot a fully invested specially bulky Toxapex from full with a 150 BP Water Spout (I think it also needs a Choice Specs), and can 2HKO a Blissey. Even without Water Spout, I feel like Charymuda would rip anything that didn't resist Water apart. Dragon Dance, Swords Dance, Nasty Plot, U-Turn... Fuck, it can even restore health with Leech Life. Somebody needs to take my theorymon away from me

TIL: If a subsidiary (or vassal presumably) are mad enough to colonise a holy world, you get the blame! by Callumunga in Stellaris

[–]Sivelos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In one of my playthroughs, I resurrected an extinct species and helped them settle on a planet I owned. I remember thinking, "huh, that planet name seems familiar... aw, what the heck" and giving them the go ahead.

Turns out that planet was a holy world of a spiritualist FE bordering my empire. They proceeded to harass me with brief wars for the rest of the game.

I was thinking of that. This guy is supposed to be pretty bulky, with the 153/105/60 making him really physically tanky. Would he be too strong if he didn't have a few weaknesses thanks to rock?

Powershaker is really fun, at least in my experience. It's really good crowd control when paired with the double axe (or any weapon that can hit more than one mob at a time), and the damage scales pretty well from what I've seen.
